My washer died. We bought a front loader when they first came out, I think it was 1997, so mine is about 11 years old. We had to replace the motor in it 6 months ago, ($65). Now it makes all kinds of load banging noises and moves all over the laundry room and it is leaking. Time for a new one. We paid $800 for the one we have now. Now I see they start at that for a small one and go up!! Anyone have a make/model they recommend. I don't have a lot of time for research, laundry is going to get out of control quickly when I do two loads a day. It is a very large purchase for us so I want to make a wise decision. The dryer has been acting up lately and my husband thinks we should just replace both now.
