April 30, 2003 -- DISNEY board members were disappointed when Mel Karmazin re-upped as co-chairman of Viacom. Karmazin, who built Infinity Broadcasting, was seen as a potential savior who could take over for Disney chairman Michael Eisner. The board is unhappy that ABC is still in fourth place, irritated that the network was so slow getting into reality shows, and annoyed that when it did, it compromised Disney's family values with such sleazy fare as "Are You Hot?" Sources say the board is now looking at Terry Semel, the former Warner Bros. mogul now running Yahoo!, as an Eisner replacement, and Comcast biggie Steve Burke as a sub for ABC boss Robert Iger.

Yahoo & Comcast...Them's two magical places I be tellin' ya! If this is how they plan to replace Eisner then those of you clammoring for the new 'age of enlightenment' at Disney can't be too happy...:o

Well at this stage of the game someone new - someone that might be persuaded to stop 'robbing Jay to pay Alex' for example - at least gives the opportunity for change.

A good definition of insanity is continuing to do the same old thing in the same old way and expecting to get a different result.

Don't you mean robbing us to pay Michael

At this point I'd settle for someone who didn't think the parks were stupid and didn't look down on guests as subhumans.
