Is the heat as gross as our wet West coast heat when we get it? Example when it's 30celcius it usually feels like 34 with the humidex.

I am praying to god the heat this week (we land on wed) will not be as horrible as our heat. Plus we are currently at temperatures of 14celcius right now LOL.

I can't stand the heat. Missing out on hours of DL because of the heat every day makes me beyond sad :(

We're currently experiencing Santa Ana winds (dry, dry, dry winds), so humidity is hardly a problem (current humidity is 22% in Anaheim)! Yes, it is warm/hot (104*F today in Anaheim according to Accuweather), but it certainly isn't humid. The temps are expected to go down as the week progresses. By the weekend, it should be in the upper to mid 80's F.
Take advantage of the free cups of ice water at most CS locations. And stay aware of all the places where you can pop in for some nice a/c throughout the day (e.g. shops, restaurants, attractions, etc.).

So with little humidity, sorry for the stupid question lol, but does that mean it doesn't feel AS hot as the actual temperature? I know it means less mugginess.

Here's a forecast from the local channel 7

Wednesday looks like 96*F or for you 35*C

It was pretty dang dry today. Pretty nice out right now though. Now here is how i feel heat dry vs humid. When its dry it doesn't feel as hot to me overall, and it seems there are more ways to beat it. Cooling towels, and spray/mist fans work better since the water evaporates easier. Your clothes don't feel as sticky, or just overall as sticky. The sweat on your forwhead evaporates easier with wind or even a paper fan and cools you off easier. The downside when its really really hot and dry to ME is the sun "feels" hotter, as if somone is holding a magnifying glass to my skin. And i also tend to get headaches more easily when its dry if i don't constantly stay hydrated. Plus an occasional nosebleed. As a socal native growing up in the east county, and vacationing in the desert and AZ, i am wAy more used to dry heat.

TLDR: dry heat feels as hot as it says(but santa anas can make it feel hotter), humid heat can feel hotter than it says.

So basically I am screwed lol. A nice 20-23c would have been nice. I have never even felt 37c before. Ugh.

The heat is ridiculous right now. I am so over it. After Wednesday it should be somewhat better but still quite warm. I agree that you will get very dehydrated in the dry heat like this so drink and drink and drink that water!

Hey, 37C is better than the 40ish C like today and tomorrow. I told one of my coworkers in Germany and they couldn't believe it, thought I was calculating wrong, lol.

I think you'll be ok. Just drink lots of fluids and try to stay in the shade as much as possible. Walk on the shady side of the walkways, try to stand in shade. Dry heat feels hot on the skin standing in direct sunlight, but if you're in the shade it feels cooler (not 'cool', just cooler on the skin). Above PP is correct in that any sweat or moisture evaporates almost immediately from your skin and clothes which also helps the cooling effect, so do go on those water rides and get drenched. You'll be dry in no time.

Humidity is anathema to me. I'd rather be in 105 with low humidity than 80 with high humidity.

There's a thread on here somewhere--may be the second or third page now--about how to stay at least a little cooler in the heat at the parks.

Coming from Oregon, "dry heat" didn't make much sense to me, until someone described it as the opposite of "sticky" heat. It was like an "Aha!"-moment and it finally made sense :)

I have been in September with 37 degree heat and it is not the same as 37 with a humidex. Drink lots, find shade and eat lots of minute maid frozen lemonade. If you can find cooling towels grab one. We used them in Radium this summer and they saved me. We bought one and cut it into 3 pieces.

Supposedly up to 41 C today - I've been in hot HUMID heat - this is much better - I guess - lol. It was nicer later in the evening last night so hoping for the same for Mickey's Halloween Party tonight ! As a Canadian with -20 C + winters, I found that I haven't melted away ... just yet :)

I'm here right now and from Vancouver
It is hot but dry and there is a breeze.
I'm super wimpy in the heat and did pretty well yesterday too.
Lots of water and water rides helps

Plus it is so far but busy which helps with the heat!

I live in Arizona and right now (2:32 pm), the weather app on my phone says that it's 96 F (35.5 C) degrees here with 7% humidity. That's really not bad. If there's a bit of a wind, it's not only tolerable, but almost pleasant...especially if you have a cooling towel around your neck or a mister fan with you.

Right now, the weather app says it's 102 F in Anaheim (38.8 C) with 8% humidity. And by 7:00 pm, it drops to 92. At 8 pm, it drops to 88 F (31 C). With that low of a humidity, 88 F will be really really comfortable. It will feel more like 80-83 with 40% humidity.

Just make sure you drink enough fluids (not soda, though). Go back to your hotel and rest in the hottest part of the day (~ 1:00 - 5:00 pm).

There's a reason why a lot of folks in Arizona hibernate in the middle of the day when it's that hot out! :-D
