Wondering if we bring the car back to the resort, and then will pick up others late night, is there a better resort to pick up from then the parks.
Specifically the Westgate Blue Tree. From what I remember it was close to DTD, but that is not an option.
TIA.

We have stayed at BlueTree many times and if I remember correctly, the resorts closest to DTD would be Swan/Dolphin, Boardwalk, Yacht/Beach Club. You could pick them up at any of those resorts. At the Disney-owned hotels (BW, Y/BC) just tell the guard you are there to pick up guests. Should not be a problem. It only takes a few minutes (depending on traffic) to get there from BlueTree.

Thanks so much for the information, especially for leaving the back of Epcot, walking out to the BW. for a p/u.
Any tips about Blue tree, we stayed there in 1999, but that was a life time ago. How often do they run any shuttles? I could leave the car and take a shuttle back need be.

We haven't stayed there for a few years but I understand they have made alot of renovations since then and it was nice when we stayed there last. We are owners there and usually bank our week with Interval International to exchange since we bought into Disney Vacation Club.

We always have a car and have never used their shuttle service so I don't know much about it. I hope you enjoy it and would love for you to let me know if you like/dislike BlueTree.

Have a great time!:)

P.S. I am from PA, too. (near Hbg.)

I stayed at Blue Tree last year and will be staying again this year. They have different size units. Last year I was in the smaller 2 bedroom, but it was completely renovated. I didn't like the small TV in the master bedroom...looked like a computer screen monitor! Other than that, it was nice. I had a queen sized bed in the master, a regular bathroom (no special tub), the 2nd bedroom had 2 twins, very small room but nice with an older TV. The living room was small. The sofa was a pull out, but when pulled out, there was no room to walk. The dining room table was close to the sofa and breakfast bar. The kitchen had everything you needed.
This year, I am supposed to have the larger 2 bedroom, so I will see just how larger it is ;) I arrive next week.

Their grounds are ok, nothing fancy. They were well kept, clean and staff were nice. The bldgs reminded me of an apartment complex, not a resort feel, but like I said, it was clean and well kept. They didn't have elevators yet, they were installing them when I was there, so I had requested a first floor then. This time around, it doesn't matter much. hope this helps you...:)

forgot to add, I never used their shuttle, I had my own car... so can't help you with that.. sorry..

Thanks for the added information,
Is there one section better then the others? I use a rollator, and we also have an ECV that will stay in the car. Roll in shower is not a must.

I wish I had known a lot before the prepaid resservation. In 1999 I stayed at the site, which is over 13 years ago. The larger room must have been the one we stayed in then. It had the jaquzzi tub, shower large enough for two, and lots of living room area with the bed open. But we only slept there, otherwise outside at the pool or parks.

Unfortunatly I decided to take the Queen room thinking we did not need the King for just ds, but now I wish I did. No upgrade available so far, checking back to hope a larger unit opens up.

I called about a shuttle and was told there no longer is a shuttle, I might have to consider a rental for the clan that does not close down the park at night for a few of the days. I have visiting to do.

This is such a budget fit in trip with the AP, that I would almost sleep in a tent.
Thank you all for the added information, it is reassuring that at least upgrades have been made over the last dozen years. It was really nice then.
