Anyone else totally jazzed at the idea of stopping in Costa Rica?

I am. It is the only place I think I will be getting off the ship for an extened period of time. I will get off at CC to have lunch, and in Aruba I will be going to the Dunkin Doughnts near were the ships dock because I married a woman from Maine and she got me addicted to them. We do not have any in the state of CA.

I adore DD!!! (I grew up in Chicago and used to have munchkins for birthdays in class)

BTW: The Wonder Dry Dock in 2009 will be installing a second floor of cove cafe -- all glass -- for Alaska.

Our photographers on land taking our pictures and our picture taken on Deck 4.

Hope these didn't bore you.

Not at all!

I'm getting giddy already ... and good to know they show the view in the cabins and on the big screen. :thumbsup2

One thing we did on ours was to have some cabins who were willing to have an "open house" kind of thing after the initial locks. We listed our cabins and anyone who wanted to come and watch for part of it from a balcony was more then welcome. We ordered some cheese plates from room service and opened some champagne.

It was a lot of fun!

My friend also did this in 08 on the Westbound. Her sister was the bartender and boy I don't remember much.

I know that is Funny Mandy, but I tell you it was great. We were out on the veranda having sone cheese plates, really strong drinks, and had the iPod going with some tunes. I think the people to the right were just a little mad at us. Especialy when a sail boat came by, we were wasted by this point, and everyone was wearing Yannke stuff. Well my friend and family are from New England, and being a Dodger fan myself, we all started yelling Yannkes suck. It was so cool. They booed us.

I can imagine it was lots of fun ::yes:: Some of those cocktails onboard can be lethal :rotfl2: especially the Planter's Punch's. Hubby & I enjoy a cocktail or two (or three or four), so those celebrations sound just like the kind of thing we'd enjoy

I must confess that our cruises do tend to revolve around food and drink ;) and if you want to read more about our recent cruise, then take a look here http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2271039

Well I do not want to mislead you. My friends sister was bartending from our own liquior that we brought on.

That does sound like fun!!!

I am psyched! We had an ABD Costa Rica trip planned in the beginning of this year but they canceled because there wasn't enough people. I was so excited when the itinerary was released!

I'd stoked about Costa Rica! Zip lining here I come!

Glad to see we're not the only people who travel with stuffed pets - only ours aren't Kitties, they're teddies, Dimples and OC. What are the kitties names, and will they be traveling with y'all again?

Not much party people here - but I'm SURE we'll find lots to do.

Those photos are GREAT!

:yay:

We also have teddies!: Harry Bear (a doorman bear named for Harrods in London where we bought him) Bear Bear (who is a Chicago Bears bear) and Cash Bear (who is made of Cashmire from Bath and Body Works). We'll probably have at least one of them with us.

Hi folks.

Looks like I'll be joining you with my sister Teddy Bear. We took the Magic East last time and thought it would be fun to come back in the other direction. As Californian's, we're thrilled that the Wonder will be local and hope DCL will apply resident discounts to the entire state and not just Southern California :rolleyes1
