From WDW To DL With Love - January 06, 2011

Wow, I see quite a few of you have been through the canal before.

Any idea on the weather in January? Will it pretty much be hot or can I expect cooler temps?

Not sure what the temps will be but I can only hope it will be a little cooler. It was almost too hot to stay outside through the canal but you did anyway.

This is going to be tricky to pack for. I looked up the average temps for Anaheim and the high was in the 60's and lows in the 40's. It could be freezing or 90 in Orlando as well! I guess we will be prepared for anything.

I hope it isn't too hot... I hate the heat even though I live in Florida, lol!

There's a bunch of us with 3-4 year olds it seems. We should try to get together before the cruise so the kids can meet. We're local to WDW so we're flexible to meet up with anyone.

We would probably be up for a meet. We are also near WDW.

Should start getting chilly in Cabo. The last day at sea before L.A. Should be cold.

That''s good news. Last time we were at DL in November there was actually a heat wave, fires, and Santa Ana winds... I hope we have better weather this time!

DITTO! I'd move if it wasn't for all the Disney FL resident specials.

I am trying so hard to get DH to move out of state but he is not too fond of the idea. So for now I will just have to keep visiting Disney to make up for it!

The excitement was still there in the terminal in May 2008 and we and some 2005 sailing with us. We also had a sold out ship but it was mostly 2 adults in one room and very few children. DCL said that we had the largest Castaway Club representation that they had had on any cruise. It was so big that they had the Castaway Club get together on deck 9 to accommodate all of us. We got to go to the kid's club and make Flubber too. What fun. DCL set up a continental breakfast on the basket ball court for PC crossing morning and then had a bar-b-cue on deck 9 for lunch. I will post some pics of the WB 2008.

I want to make Flubber, how cool!

Do you have any pictures from the BBQ on deck on PC day? It's the only thing I'm missing for my scrapbook.

I'm also booked on this cruise with my DD. We're not 100% sure whether we can actually do it at the moment (it's a vacation days + term dates conundrum) but we have a stateroom so we're going to do our utmost to sail through the Panama Canal with you all!!!

I'm jazzed to be on the cruise, PERIOD! Visiting some ports we haven't visited before - ANY ports we haven't visited before! And, we have friends in Puerta Vallarta

Now, I'm off to read the trip reports of the previous PC cruises to see what ELSE we have to look forward to.

I'm jazzed about the whole cruise too, as the longest cruise we've done has only been for 4 nights, and hubby & I have always wanted to sail through the Panama Canal
