Hey hey!! It does appear to be! Congrats on your booking! I will be reshopping, as well, hopping to work something out. Can't wait to meet everyone on this trip and I will see you in 3 weeks!!:thumbsup2
Let's hope this works out Penny. It would be nice to have some type of OBC for a 15 night cruise. My bar bill would be that much less. Also Penny, I have been on 3 long DCL cruises, and now I have 3 more booked. Let me tell you that a dinner menu will not be repeated. Sp there will be 15 differant menuscat dinner time. They will have a ton of special shows that they do just for long cruises. I could go on and on. We will talk more about that in 3 weeks

Hi Tigfanjeff,
Nice to see another May 2005 PC cruiser. We booked the 2005 PC very late so I was not a part of that thread until a month prior to sailing. I do recall a lot of turmoil on that thread but I don't know what it was all about. I hope to see you post often and we all have a great time planning for then next 15 months!! :goodvibes Oh, and let's all hope the "pin fiasco of 2005" is not repeated!! :rotfl:

Oh how I remember the pin fiasco. The only thing is, I loved it. I had so much fun sleeping on my manhole in Beat Street. On the Westbound cruise last year they left a order form in the room with very strict rules. It worked out a lot better. Everyone got what they wanted and no one was denied. It was nice, but I wanted another night in the hall. Also glad to see the cruise is not sold out anymore. People must be cancelling already. So good luck to people on Monday.

We'll be at WDW in just a few weeks - 10/25-11/4. After that who knows if we'll get out there again before the cruise.

I'm still pinching myself to make sure I'm not dreaming that we're going on this cruise. We made the decision to go so quickly. But I guess there's 15 months for it to sink in.

Looks like we will be at WDW at the same time. I will be there 10/24-29 at AKL.

We missed the pin (and the initial t-shirt) fiascos. Can't say I minded missing them.
The menus! Oh the menus...
Essence of Leeches soup... (suppose to be Lychees - we have the menu to prove the leeches) Oh and unbrulee! Unbrulee!

I found a few pictures on my work laptop Yes, I should be working right now but the excitement of booking this cruise hasn't worn off yet :cool1:

(The last 2 of the ship are actually from the August EB PC)

Just called DCL and found out our OBC went through since we had booked it on our 2008 cruise.

OBC = $200. :thumbsup2

I wonder if this cruise will have more Californians that other routes...

And DH and I are looking forward to the FE! (although I'm sure I'll need help with signage as the date gets closer)

thanks for the flashback! We have a bunch of the ship photos of going through the locks, they were amazing. Some of the Disboarders and us hung flags off a back balcony. You can see it from any of the shots of the back of the ship!

Look..right there in front..that's me! :rotfl2: That day was so hot! But awesome.

Thanks you so very much , count down to Monday 5am CA time....:surfweb:

I'll be right there with you at 5AM. I took the day as my furlough day for this month so I didn't have to worry about getting to work on time.

I will be joining you! :surfweb:

I see you own DGC villas..we get to try them out this weekend! We are so excited!

:cheer2: We're cruising with y'all!!! It's me, DH, DS and DD. DS will be 6 (just barely) and DD will be 3.5 when we sail.

We were on the last PC cruise, that brought the Magic home from the west coast. And for the last year I've told DH and anyone else that would listen that I'd do the PC cruise again in a heartbeat if given the opportunity. Who knew opportunity would knock so soon.

We're in a cat 5A on deck 7, with main (early) dining.

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Here's hoping we finally get to cruise together!

I"ll be working on my WBTA/PC comparison spread sheet this weekend and making my formal presentation to Pam shortly thereafter. :thumbsup2

Oh come on, you know you want to do the PC. There will be plenty more opportunity for a TA, but with the Wonder being relocate to the west coast there's no telling when or if there will be another PC cruise. Besides, you've never actually met Ian or Sophia in person yet and they're anxious to meet the person in the photo with Tigger. (Yes, they do actually ask who "that" is when they see me DISing.)

They had the pin situation worked out by the 2008 Western PC. We had cards to fill out for what we wanted and we got everything we wanted. I really think they learned their lesson from your cruise.

No one knew what to expect in May of '05, so it was nuts and amazing. I'll never forget Sasha (the amazing Palo server) willingly going out onto deck 9 while going through the locks in full Palo uniform to sell drinks. I can't imagine how hot he was. Our cruise while sold out, was pretty empty and had very few kids. So much so they opened the kid's clubs to thr adults. We got to make Flubber. It was great. All the themed nights were great, I believe we were one of the first to set off fireworks from the ship. There were so many wine tastings, beer tastings, kitchen shows, it was easy to do what you wanted and still have quiet time. And still not do everything you wanted.
I too will post some pics later.

The excitement was still there in the terminal in May 2008 and we and some 2005 sailing with us. We also had a sold out ship but it was mostly 2 adults in one room and very few children. DCL said that we had the largest Castaway Club representation that they had had on any cruise. It was so big that they had the Castaway Club get together on deck 9 to accommodate all of us. We got to go to the kid's club and make Flubber too. What fun. DCL set up a continental breakfast on the basket ball court for PC crossing morning and then had a bar-b-cue on deck 9 for lunch. I will post some pics of the WB 2008.

We did FE on the WB 2008 PC cruise and loved it. We had done it before on the 11 night SC cruise. It is a blast to come back to your room and find a surprise.

If our WB 2008 cruise thread was any real indication, the rest of the US was definitely out numbered by the west coast.

Jackie, you have to go. It would be great to see you again.

I will post some of our 2008 pictures in just a few.

Here are some of our pictures from the 2008 WB PC Cruise. I will try and post some more later.

My DH and I zip-lined in PV. Loved the zip-lining, did not like the platforms around the trees.

This is what we did in Cabo. The water was cold but what an experience.

We followed this US atomic sub through the canal. I found myself more interested in it than the canal. Hope we don't have the distraction this time.

Wow, I see quite a few of you have been through the canal before.

Any idea on the weather in January? Will it pretty much be hot or can I expect cooler temps?

Morning guys

I'm still quite shocked that we've booked this cruise, and very excited...

I will be celebrating my birthday on the 6th - when we set sail, and Paul will celebrate his on the 12th - as we sail through the Panama Canal...
Wow!!! That's very cool, Mandy!!! I didn't realise that!!! :goodvibes

...I"ll be working on my WBTA/PC comparison spread sheet this weekend and making my formal presentation to Pam shortly thereafter. :thumbsup2
Fingers crossed Pam goes for it, Jackie!!!

I'm also booked on this cruise with my DD. We're not 100% sure whether we can actually do it at the moment (it's a vacation days + term dates conundrum) but we have a stateroom so we're going to do our utmost to sail through the Panama Canal with you all!!!

Loving the photos BTW... :thumbsup2

DH and I are newbies to the PC :)

I looked up the weather on Orlando in January -- is in in the 70s.
Found this:

On any given day during January in Aruba, you can expect early morning temperatures to be around 77.4 degrees. Temperatures in Aruba typically rise during the day, to an average of 84.3 degrees in the early afternoon. The temperature in Aruba will typically decline by early evening, to approximately 78.1 degrees. Temperatures in Aruba average around 79.8 degrees during January.

Panama is a tropical climate with temperatures typically varying between 80 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Panama basically two seasons, wet and dry. The dry season is considered Panama's summertime, and lasts from January through March. The rainy season, or what is considered Panama's winter, goes from April through December. During the wet season it does not mean that rain lasts nonstop for days, but that almost each day there is some rain.

Puerto Vallarta goes from high 70s to low 60s.
