Neither, sitting in my office at work finishing lunch and then it's back to working on our budget.
I hope someone if having fun today!
Months ago I had posted an article I had found regarding cruiselines rights regarding cancelling a cruise. It had noted that cruiselines sometimes cancel a cruise because a company buys the entire ship for the cruise. The cruisers have very little rights other then a refund of the amount they have paid the cruiseline to that date.
DCL has cancelled the September 3 Med cruise because they have sold the cruise to a company. Everyone on the cruise received a phone call from their TA letting them know. According to the DISboard thread they have a few days to decide if they want to reschedule. DCL will pay up to $250 airline change fee - but that is all. If they purchased non-refundable ticket and don't want to reschedule the most DCL will pay is the $250 change fee. They will not pay any increase in price. They have been offered the same rates and a $250 OBC if they reschedule a cruise. People who planned a back to back with the Med and then the EBTA are really out of luck. DCL says if they don't let them know what they want to do within a week DCL will just cancel their reservation and refund. Calls to DCL result in being on hold for hours and no help (explains why I couldn't get through last week).
I have no first hand knowledge that any or all of this is correct only what I read on the thread but based on what I had read back months ago, seems likely. I just never thought Disney was as uncaring as the other guys.

Yea.... I finally got my picture CD from the Panama cruise!!
I really don't want to rub it in, but since someone asked. We spent the afternoon sitting in the hot tub, watching the waves roll by, the pelicans flying over and every once in a while we got to see the dolphins frolic. The best part is we are not on vacation, we were in our front yard (we like to pretend the beach and the Atlantic Ocean in front of our home belongs to us.)
A while back, before the cruise, there was some mention of a cookbook being complied. You had to send recipes. I forgot who was doing it. What ever happened to it?

Those of you lucky enough to do the TA and the Med- have a great time. It was our best cruise ever. If anyone is interested in doing private tours in Italy, we used Rome Connection and they were great. If you do it make sure you also get the private guide for the Vatican. It was well worth the little extra money. The vans hold between 8-10 and it saved a lot of walking.
In Nice we used Riviera Premium Tours and they were also very accomodating.
We also did private van tours in Madeira and Gilbraltar. I don't remember the company-look on the internet for some. They also were excellent. In Gibraltar the vans could go all the way to the top whereas the buses could only go part way and you had to walk up the rest of the way.
Wish we wer going with you.
Linda is right - it was me. Sorry to be so slow but between the creeping crud and work overload, I have not had a chance. But I will get that done this weekend and out.
So - anyone else care to send me a recipe? My email is gail@lindamood.com or you can also PM me with one.
DCL posted military rates for the Alaska cruise, including the first cruise on 5-3. I don't think they are selling well. Even with the "kids sail free" it is more then Princess and doesn't go to the better glacier areas. Sorry about that 'cause I want them to keep the Wonder on the west coast and not move it to Asia. They haven't offered any military discount for the mexican riv trips nor have they offerred a Calif resident discount but I know they aren't selling the Mexican like they wanted.
Also, the reviews haven't been very good. One thing every review mentioned were the small elevators. I've never thought they were a problem. Of course, after a show or event the elevators are harder to get into but you expect that. Also, big complaints about the ship pool area being to crowded. I do agree that rude people take over lounges by putting stuff on chairs early, when they come for coffee, then then expect to keep a block of lounges all day - even when they aren't there. Disney should put up a notice that stuff left on a chair more then 30 minutes will be removed. Since there aren't guards in the adult area that would be hard. What are your ideas on this? I've been told that families do this in the spa rainforest too. Is this true?

Has anyone heard from Jeff & Jen? I've been trying to contact them for weeks, with no luck.![]()
I booked the Panama 2011 cruise on December 30, 2010, so didn't get a chance to meet the fellow disboarders before the cruise. That's exactly what I told them in my letter - that I needed to "lower my expectations". To a company that wants all "excellent" ratings, that SHOULD be a wake up call. We shall see. I have two cruises on the Magic booked this fall.
Between the pin disaster and the lack of character photo opportunities......
