From WDW to DL With Love - January 06, 2011 part 4

We need to get transportation from Paradise Pier to LAX. I called Supershuttle and they quoted $30 for the two of us. That seemed reasonable to me. Then we need transportation from Las Vegas airport to Treasure Island Hotel and then back to the airport. They quoted $80 from the airport to the hotel and then $76 from the hotel to the airport. This seems quite high to me. Can anyone give me some advice on this or another alternative. Thanks

I think they must be quoting you for a private van. On my trip earlier this year I took a taxi from the airport to the strip and it cost $15.80 one way and $14.60 on the way back.

If you want to go super cheap you can go with the Bell Trans shuttle (just Google it) and that is $12 round trip per person, but it can take a long time if you have to stop at a bunch of hotels first.

I am telling my kids by a puzzle on Christmas morning.

I think someone here suggested this to me months ago when I joined the thread. I can't remember who, but thank you!

I would like to use the logo we voted on for the T-shirts, you know our "official logo" that Jeff has used on the website. I need it larger because of the quality issues for the jigsaw. Can someone hold my hand through how to do this or could someone email me a larger version of the image?

We probably went through all this with the t-shirts but I wasn't ordering one so I didn't pay close attention...

Two things:

Firstly, the photo of you and Len on the website is gorgeous. That dress is just stunning on you! You should wear it a lot.

Second, the first cruise we went on, we didn't tell them at all. We have it on video. We told them we were going to WDW - they were very excited. We picked them up from school a week before we were supposed to leave, making the excuse that they had an orthodontist appointment. When they got in the car, they saw the luggage and started screaming they thought we were leaving early for the holiday. THEN we told them they were going on a Disney Cruise. More screaming. They assumed we were going on the cruise instead of WDW. We told them it was both and they just didn't believe it. It was so funny.

The last day of the cruise they were so sad going for breakfast. We asked why. "Because we have to go home". We started to snicker. "Oh we are not going home, we are going back to WDW".

Now they don't believe anything we say!

Those pictures of the Dream are well, dreamy. But, did anyone notice the fish extender? Could be the angle of the shot but it looks to me like there is no room to hang a FE.

And, forgive me but I have CRS. WHO asked about Scout patches and doing an exchange? DH is a Scoutmaster (he is the ultimate boy in boy scouts) and has been for 25 years or so and he was an Eagle scout in his youth. He was also scoutmaster for one of the troops the US sent to World Jamboree in Holland so he would be all up for some trading. He would just like to know a bit about what anyone would like.

We have snow clouds - oh happy day.

For those of you waiting for your invoices..I have a test subject! As soon as she tells me it worked..I will start sending them out.

It will come to you from "Once Upon......" and the email address it will show will be desiree@**********dot com ( email address purposely * since it gives the name of my company and I know I can not post that. Just so you know what you are looking for).

If you want it shipped, I am simply adding in the cost of the postage and the envelope. I am trying to get it as close to the exact amount (I am using USPS website for postage pricing).

You can also pay and just notate in your email that you want to pick it up. Or you can wait until you get to FL. and pay/pick it up.

Ok..it seems Paypal is charging me a fee for using it if using a credit card, debit card or money inyour Paypal account...so..I have cancelled all invoices that I created. It was supposed to give the person a choice to accept the fees themselves but it isn't.

So here we go....if you want to pay by credit card, debit card or money on your Paypal account...please let me know when you send me your info - I will automatically include the .50 fee it is charging me (sorry..I know .50 doesn't seem like much but it adds up). If you are using a checking or savings account...let me know that and I won't charge you the fee on the invoice.

If you have already emailed me your info - please send me a new email telling me how you will pay and I will send you a new invoice.

Thanks for the link to the Dream photo gallery. We've booked what we thought would be a "dummy" cruise on the Dream next year but after seeing those pictures I don't think it's a dummy booking afterall. WOW!

I love the enchanted restuarant, looks amazing.

Are you guys packing jackets?
Do we expect rain anywhere?
Probably just take a brolly and sweatshirts.

Lynne, I think maybe a windbreaker of some kind? you know the really light ones that could shed rain if they had to. I always find the West Coast windy and I have a feeling it might be cool from Cabo north.

Strange thing though to have a room out for that length of time. I'm presuming it is out of commission now, so that would be over 2 months. Very odd.

Well... on the candy saga.. the company did not believe me and made me send pictures! So I did..I recieved back a response that they would refund my money. They said it wasn't the norm to be that chipped so I offered to let them try again - they said no

So..UPS is supposed to pick up the candy from me. I am back to the drawing board on an FE gift. Below are some pictures of the candies..sorry they are blurry...

They were M&M type candies...some said:Have a WONDERful cruise and the others said: From Des, Richard & Tori

They were supposed to be black, red and yellow - mickey mouse colors but unfortunately, although they told me there would be some of each color in a bag - there wasn't. Some had all yellow or all black What kind of color scheme is that?

Out of the first box of 50 - 34 were damaged....of the remaining 2 boxes (100 each) there were about 40 damaged in each one.

Sorry the pics are so big..photobucket edit isn't working for me right now.

I think Bell Transport is the shuttle company in vegas. You don't even need to reserve in advance, methinks.

We were in 5501...I wanted to stay on the 5th floor more than the sideways room, so we are now in the AFT section though looking at the website we are really close to other DISers...next to CLHARMON and across the hallway from EMUM...

We LOVED aft on 5. I tried to get my favorite room on this cruise and couldn't.

I'm going to start sorta sorting things in the next week or 2. I dont need that much detail but do need sometning. If not close, i'll start something and then send to you if you want it to add to!
