We will definetly know where we are staying by the time Jan rates come out for the Orlando flight. June 3rd can change resorts. Thinking BWV and VWL. If not available we will stay put at Kidani.

There you guys go again with that diff language.:rotfl::rotfl:

So I just wanted to give a Premire Pass update. So DW got a call, not once but twice. One of the calls was for me, but they called her. Not sure why that happened but let's go forward. So she has been approved for her PP. She is to go to the AP center at Disneyland next we go, (that will be Friday because we are going to pin trading night) and show both passes again, and then they are to pull up her file and the instuctions to issue the pass are there. Now me on the other hand is very interesting. They said my pass expired on 3/26/09. Funny cause the pass I have in my walet as a experation of 3/21/10. DW told them this. The person noted my record and said I am to bringbboth passes to Guest Relations and then they will issue a comp ticket. I am then to go to the AP center and issued my PP. So it looks promising that this will all be over on Friday. Thank goodness. Before anyone says anything, we do not want any type if compensation fir this. We feel since we just made it under the gun, the free nine months for me and 13 for DW are compensation enough. I just threw that in there in case someone wanted to bring up the point of compensation since this was Disneys fault.

We're going to be at Jambo House for the pre-cruise stay. I booked us into the concierge level for Jan 2-6 so that we could do the early morning safari.

I figured out that it's best to make your home reservations 11 months out, then try to change to another resort seven months out. If you can't get in, you still have a place to stay. We did this in January and moved from Kidani to Villas at Wilderness Lodge. That was a very nice place to stay. If we didn't want to do the special safari, I would try moving over there this time.

Glad to hear that you are almost a PP holder and that your DW is now one. Keep us posted with your adventures.

Maybe I should call WDW again and see what I can do over the phone. Otherwise, we will be "hashing this out" for DH when we're down there in September. Unfortunately, his pass expires 4/3. Sigh! That's the problem with the name being different on his two passes.

They don't tell us that. Here is my advice if you are a frequent SWA flyer. Book the ticket when you can. Check back often and see if the price goes down. If it does, rebook at the lower fare. Your left over money is good one year from date of purchase and there is no fee what so ever to do anything I just said.

Good point. I keep forgetting how civilized Southwest is about that kind of thing.

Play all you like, Alan! It's fun :goodvibes Meanwhile, fingers crossed for your wife's continued employment! As a former recruiter and career coach, she should get her resume together now, though, and start making connections (ie professional organizations, etc), if she hasn't already.

Or she should start researching the new process, write a few articles to establish expertise and become a "transition export" or "loan consultant" doing consulting, blogging, speeches and presentations to desperate students and parents for a nominal (aka high) fee. Or, if that doesn't work, get a job with the agency that manages it for the feds for less pay, but insanely great benefits and job security :rolleyes1

Seriously though - while times of great change are very stressful, they also represent opportunities....

Again, thanks for all the advice, but all is under control. A new spin today was the 14 states filing lawsuits saying the bill is uncostitutional. So it can not even become law while tied up in the courts. She has been looking ever since last Jan when we got a new president as he canpagined on this and knew her job was on the way out. Problem is she makes too much right now, and unemployment would acctualy make us more than other offers she has gotten. I guess that is what happens when you have a M.B.A. Again thatls for all the advice and good thought but I can't stress enough that is it going to be just fine. She does not want me to talk about something she is working on, so I will leave it at that.

ETA: Danfromca, their company is already making a proposal ready for the Feds to help manage. They do have to be selected though.

Well she does not have it in hand. We both should PP holders by the time we hit pin trading on Friday night.

mmmmmmmmmmm,thats interesting

I probably wouldn't read too much into it (yet anyways). We have a friend who works on the company websites and while he knows what he's doing, a whole lot of the website developers for Disney don't. Stuff disappears all the time...

I hope we get to go to Costa Rica too!!

I remember at one point before our 2008 PC cruise, the actual Panama Canal day disappeared!!!!!:rotfl2:
