Just wondering if anyone has any good advice of where to go and what to do, on the back burner we have planned 2 weeks in L.A and surrounding area staying on Disney property. We have accounted for travelling days but driving to Las vagas staying there for about 5 days staying on route a day either side, and a 5 days in San Fransico again allowing a day to stay either side on route. As it stands at the moment all we have booked is our flights we was going to do a week on property then head to Las Vagas back another week on property then to San fransico then we have afew days to go back to L.A as that is where we are flying home from.

Any advice would be greatly welcomed, are we trying to do to much in to little time, what would you suggest as an itinery.

Many Thanks in antisipation.:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Be sure to look at the top of the board for a thread called Other Things To Do In Southern California. You will find many excellent suggestions there. :) :) :)

The drive from LA to San Fran is really nice. I would spend a couple days with that. Driving on Highway 1 is quite beautiful and there are some nice palces to stop. I highly recommend looking at the Monterrey bay aquarium, stopping at San Simeon to see Hearst Castle, Ano Nuevo is also a nice little stop, you walk about a mile to the ocean to see huge elephant seals, amzing! Many people like Carmel, Big Sur, etc. In San Fran you might want to ditch the car. It is quite expensive for parking to say the least. Some hotels charge 20-40 a day for parking! We don't usually drive in like that due to the expense. You may be able to return the car and then rerent it again! You could also stay outside of town and use public tranport to get in each day but it is not nearly as easy as London, our public transportation needs some work still.

Also, make sure you look at San Diego, I like it much better than Los Angeles. There's lots of things to do there and it is easier to get around than LA.

Have a good trip.

Jenn
