From the Med to the Panama Canal

Has anyone heard from Susie Snyder? I saw she was at the dismeet but I haven't seen any post from her. :confused3

This thread is just my pace, nice and slow!

Hey guys...okay this thread seems to be more my pace. As of late I can't keep up over there and I feel like I'm missing out on some details that might matter. Thanks for the suggestion Kelly!

Welcome, Lisa. We're a bunch of sloths over here!

Susie and Curt were at the dismeet and she has a tour this week in SD. Her foot is doing much better... just in time for us to send her on another wacky adventure.

Anyone else going to OKW who wants me to leave lanyards for them at the desk?

Decided to pop in here on this thread. It's getting closer every day. I'm mostly packed except for the last few things. I'm looking forward to seeing my new friends on the ship.

Thanks again everyone who have help make this trip more enjoyable.

Finally stopped SNOWING and the SUN has come out!!:cool1: I can't wait for warmer, consistent weather. It snowed the day dh and i left for the TA last year. I am started to plan on that happening again. :sad2: Maybe I will be able to do the garage sale after all?:worship: Loved the song of the day... Have a Great Evening! 13 days and we leave for FL :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Ok, I am coming on over too. I can't spend hours skimming just to catch the important stuff.

Hi Angie.

Hi,
I think I am going to move over here mostly also. Not to get into any debates or step on any toes, but I just can't keep up over at the other thread, and the closer we get to the trip, the less time I will have to find out what I need to know. I think I am also too old for that thread:goodvibes . I could never post because I could never keep up.
Anyhow, I know I have read replies about this on the boards, but from all the experienced people here-does it realy help to get to the PC early to get a low boarding number, or are the numbers given out randomly. This is only our 2nd cruise. Last Dec 2nd, we had just stayed at the Poly, and they had already checked us in and given us our KTTW cards. We didn't have to go to the desk at all. Thanks...Vicki

Vicki, get there as soon as you can after 9:30am, they have two piles of Boarding numbers, in October the left side was giving out #7 at 10:00-10:30 am and the right side as giving out #5's. No logic to me, maybe you can see some.

Hi Vicki, Welcome,
When we did the Transatlantic last May the numbers were done in order. It seemed like they were just going in order. We arrived at the terminal about 10:30am and were in group 5, but we actually didn't board with our group but like 3 or 4 groups later. We were meeting other Dis members that were there, checking in, taking pictures with Characters, checking DH into the club, going over the mini navigator, taking pictures, meeting new friends. I do know that once we got on, got Palo reservations, tickets to tea and alcohol tasting it was 1pm and they started letting people go to their staterooms. And we still hadn't gotten to the buffet upstairs for lunch. When you meet Alex you will how important FOOD is to me. You know I love you honey! Ask any questions you may have, because you never know if someone else has the same one. It's like collective knowledge here! Enjoy!

I think it is 9:30 for the parking lot and between 9:30 and 10:00 for the terminal doors.

Hi Karen, This is a much better speed of info for me, lol.

Linda needs to post a picture from them in the front of the line last year with the time stamp.... I am not a great morning person so I try to stay in bed until 7am and 730am is sleeping in for me. We are going to be there before the characters come out like last year, shooting for 10am with our group of 13 should be interesting....;)

Karen our group is 13 too. Just found out that DCL put us at a single 14 top table, right in the middle of the dinning room, from what I was shown last October. Should be fun.

Table 23? We are hoping to table hop like last year since most of the time the kids don't come. I think out of the 29 days on board last year DD only was there 9 or so times. Tabling hoping is the best!

We will have to mix it up with the seats we sit in. I tend to "nest" and sit in the same seat each time like is is assigned or something! :rotfl: I will make an effort to sit in a new spot at the table each night so we will be visiting with everyone over the trip. :thumbsup2

Karen, yes that is the one, are you also at 23 or do you know yet? If yes, I guess we are different times or Rotations, lol. Angie in October I was at the same table as in Dec 06, even the same seat, lol. Me and you can swap seats just to say we did it, cool?
