We have used Charley's Taxi for transfers from HNL to Waikiki and back and were very happy with them. Would not hesitate to use them again.I have never used Charley's Taxi but I have seen them drop people off at the entrance and read about them here and on other forums
I know they offer a flat rate which looks like it might be $55 for the mini van shuttle (see link below)
https://charleystaxi.com/services/airport/I would check out reviews etc first but they are all over the island and I know they have a great reputation plus no surge pricing
So for fun, I just did a quick check on the Lyft app. 2:30 Hawaii time from the airport to Aulani. Regular lyft is $78, Lux is $110.00, XL is $118.00. The issue with Aulani is that it is a 45 minute drive from the Waikiki area, which is where a lot of people live. They have more then enough business in that area without them having to drive all the way out to Aulani. To and from the airport might be easier to secure, but if you plan on going across the Island to tour, you are going to struggle. People have posted being "stuck" after dinner on the other side of the Island not being able to get a return trip. I highly recommend that your group get a car for your trip. Have fun, it is so beautiful there. Thanks for the info, but we are meeting our son's family, maybe, so I can't really pre-book anything. I just wondered what to expect with Uber. Using at SFO recently the price ranged from $90 to $54 which we accepted. But the first two offers were very high. I knew what was normal, so I declined until I got a price that was reasonable. So I was hoping to get a ballpark to know when to accept the ride.
The size of your party will determine your cost. On a Sunday with no traffic, the cost could range from $40 for just two people with minimal luggage up to $100+ for 5 people. We head this Sunday and planned to Uber from the airport. Has anyone done this recently? and if so, what did it cost?
Thanks.
Nice to know!If you are staying DVC helehele return to airport is free!
