From Springhill to Homewood now Doubletree??

Trying really hard to maximize using hotel points but I keep running into issues! Started at Springhill but decided to use Hilton points instead. Then booked Homewood Suites. Then we added a night and for now, can’t get the room we want for all three nights. I can get the Doubletree but now we are getting farther and farther away. Is doubletree not great??

We’ve stayed at both the Homewood (next to Toy Story lot) at DoubleTree (just a bit further down Harbor) several times. We like each one. I prefer Homewood just because of the free breakfast and having the TS shuttle next door. When my hubby was Diamond status with Hilton and we got breakfast for free at Doubletree that was a great buffet!

I've stayed at both nearby Doubletrees and found them to be acceptable--typical U.S. Doubletrees. You certainly won't be walking to and from the parks the way you could from the SpringHill, though.

We stayed at Doubletree once about 2 years ago and took ART into the park. It was torture waiting for the ART. There may be a better way to get to the park and we did not know it.
On the positive, we loved our room. My son loved that they folded the towels into different animals!

We stay at the Doubletree Convention Center on any trip we're offsite for. It's clean and the rooms are large. We just walk to the Toy Story lot and take the shuttle to and from. We've even walked it back a few times from the parks and it's long, but not horrible. And there are always plenty of people doing the walk with us.
