The weekend after next, DF and I will be participating in the Princess Half Marathon Weekend. On Sunday, we have a celebratory dinner planned at the Flying Fish Cafe. We're staying at Port Orleans Riverside and will probably be going to dinner directly from there.

Since we can't catch a bus directly from one resort to the other, which park would you make your layover spot? Riverside-Epcot-Boardwalk, or Riverside-DHS-Boardwalk? Or is there an easier way I'm over-looking?

Since this is a celebratory evening for us, I'd really like the trip to be as painless as it can be. (Without taking a cab, which could still be a possibility.)

We stayed at POR last March. We did a few hours at the boardwalk. We went to DHS and took the boat to the boardwalk. We then caught a bus to DTD and boat back to POR later that evening. Probably easier ways to do it, but it was fun to us.

I'd go to DHS, it's just a quick walk on the river to get to the Boardwalk. With Epcot, you have to go in (bag check), through the park, and out the IG before you can even start the walk over. DHS, you skip all that and can either hang a right when you get off the bus to walk over, or head towards the boats and catch a ride over.

First good for the both of you ! If it were me, after doing 13.1 miles I would add the price of a cab into the celebration ..shouldn't cost too much Mears cabs are usually right outside the resorts too

Enjoy your day & your celebratory meal princess:princess:

I'll echo DHS then walk over, but frankly, I'd call a cab. Faster.

Go to DHS. Walk from there, it's shorter. I don't know what you mean by "painless" or if it means you would like to avoid walking. If you really want to take the boat, you can do that. Don't go to Epcot or you'll need to walk through the park.

If you would like to avoid walking altogether, or if the weather is bad, take a cab.

Or take the MK Park bus and when you get off go get in the line for the Boardwalk bus that will take you directly to the resort. This would involve less walking if you are really tired but probably not as fast as going to DHS and then boating or walking to Boardwalk.

It's probably not a bad idea to take the walk. after the 13 miles, it'll be a good opportunity to stretch your legs.

Good Luck on Sunday, it'll be a lot of fun, I'm sure.

To be clear, I meant the walk from Flying Fish to HS, not back to Riverside.

We took cab to CBR from BW, it was $5 and so worth it.

Best way would be to go to DHS and either walk or take boat to BW

I would recommend taking the bus to DHS because you won't need to enter a park to get to the Boardwalk (you can either walk the path or take the boat from the entrance of DHS).

If you take the bus to Epcot, you'll have to use your ticket to get into Epcot and cut through the International Gateway to get to the Boardwalk.

Good luck with your race!

That is a great tip, because I have to pick up a rental car at the Dolphin, and I am staying at POR thanks. Didn't even think of that.

This is what I was going to suggest as well. If time is tight you could also take the bus to Epcot and walk through the International Gateway to BW. I love the boat transportation at Disney.

Just as follow-up: We took a cab. The buses had been a nightmare that weekend, so it was a nice change of pace, and only cost $7. Given what we dropped on dinner that night, it was a cheap luxury.

Bus to Hollywood Studios, then the walk is less than 3/4 mile and should take about 15 minutes.
