From Port Canaveral to MCO

This was originally posted in the Cruise forum, but I was looking for additional opinions, as the airline is about to open up its schedule and I wanted to get a decent price out of Orlando:

Using the Disney transportation back to Orlando airport from Port Canaveral, what would be the earliest time that you recommend scheduling a flight out after the cruise is over? What would be the ideal time, so that there is minimal stress, but minimal downtime as well?

Noon. Some people book as early as 11, but I would be hesitant using Disney transport. It's an hour to the airport, and you need to be there at least two hours prior to departure.

I would book a late after noon flight. You never know what lies ahead that will delay you in getting to the airport. Rough sea's could delay docking at the port. Traffic accident on the highway ect. Bus breaks down - saw this twice last Feb. People standing on the road side with their luggage waiting on another bus to come!
