I NEED this giraffe! :yay: Not sure how to get it, but it needs to be mine!!! I wonder how I would go about finding one. :surfweb: Do you happen to remember what store this was in by chance? Santa :santa: would be a very loved :lovestruc man if this showed up under our tree this year. :flower3:

gee, I guess I am little :) happy this morning trying to distract from my migraine I guess

What other touristy things are there that you would recommend?

We went to a Cardinals game, the Arch, the Budwieser Plant, Union Station and the Cathedral Basilica, which was AMAZING, we also did Six Flags. We only had about 30 minutes at the zoo, I'd like to go back there, it was really nice. On my list was also Grant's Farm and the City Museum, both of which are supposed to be great for kids, we didn't make it to either one though. There is a website somewhere that lists the top 25 things to do in St. Louis - I'll have to see if I can find it again.

Maybe someone who is familiar with the area knows a safe, family-friendly area.

We stayed in a really nice area called Chesterfield, it's a suburb of St. Louis. It was about a 15-20 minute drive to the zoo and about 20-25 minutes to downtown.

Enjoyed your latest update, so many great pictures! And, the ones of the girls playing in the pool are really cute. It's amazing how we can spend so much money on toys for our kids and they are thrilled with an empty bottle and some water :thumbsup2

Great update. Loved WL. It is the only deluxe we have ever done. Did you see the geiser? It was out of order the whole time we stayed there. That was kinda sad. :sad2:

Does that mean you passed up the magic fountain, too?!?!?

No, not entirely. Danielle and my niece Bailey did go up on the bridge and make some wishes. I was too busy taking their picture. I also didn't know how magical it is at the time.

I would be most happy to! :) PM me so I write it in my trip notes & I'll be on the lookout! :)

Would you really do that for me?? That would be wonderful!! :santa: and I would be forever grateful! :goodvibes

Those little animals are the ones that velcro on the bottom and can be pillows too, right? They are SO SOFT! We saw them at the AK shop across from the Jungle Cruise and I wanted to get one. Completely adorable!

Love the WL pics. :cloud9: It's such a beautiful resort!

I never knew how to spell bodacious, now I do. ;)

Love that pic of Bella with the towel!!! :rotfl: Henry loves to fill up water bottles or the like in the pool as well. Here in NYC many of the parks have splash zones and it's quite popular to bring buckets, bottles or even plastic shopping bags to the parks for the kids to fill and dump, fill and dump, fill and dump. Such a thrill!

I love the WL photos!
It looks like the girls had a blast at the pool. My kiddos love playing with bottles too...it keeps them busy :thumbsup2.
Checking and finding wonderful Ak and shopping pics.

Well I finally did it.

I started a trip report.

So I guess I am pimping it a bit so maybe someone will read?:flower3:

I am starting a way back to the beginning of my annual pass. So it may be a while until I get to July or September for that matter.

Link in in my signature... I hope.

I started a PTR too the link in my siggy:goodvibes. Getting so close to our trip !

Ahhh..I can close my eyes and picture myself in one of those rocking chairs in the WL lobby right now...:cloud9: I know you will appreciate our pics once we get to that day. :)

And what a fun time spent with the girls.

Wilderness Lodge is so pretty! I would like to stay there sometime -- of course, I say that about all the resorts. LOL! I didn't realize they had a Humphrey plushie -- he's very cute! Did you make wishes in the fountain this time?

I may have to get the Mad Tea Party pin on a future trip. I really like that one.

Brooklyn and Bella are so cute playing in the pool and fountains.

I'm rather fond of the Mad Tea Party pin, too. Especially after watching Brooklynn's ride on them from summer. I think I appreciate that ride now more than I did when we were actually riding it.

I did make wishes. I had a couple of specific ones and then I threw in a few coins for everyone who had a wish that I really didn't even know the details of.

It looks like you had a fabulous Dismeet in Atlanta!!

My brother just moved from MN to Tampa last week, so we are hoping to go for weekend trips to Orlando so that my kids can see their Uncle that they miss terribly. That way they can see him and Disney together! :cool1: So reading about Brooklynn and Bella seeing Trent and giving him giant :grouphug: makes me happy and sad all at the same time. :flower3: I just wish we lived close enough for weekend road trips, but I think halfway from MN to Tampa is out of the question!

Anyway, seeing your trip to the Disney store has made me miss Disney even more! So, a trip to the Disney store at the Mall of America this week is going to be a must! While the kids are back at school, I can take my camera with me and poke around as long as I want! I'll post my pics after I go so you can see what they have!

That is a long way apart. I don't like 10-11 hours, but I sure wouldn't like twice that!

Jill really wants to make a trip to Mall of America, too. :)
Yes, we will take all the pictures you care to share.

Love your WL pictures!! So fun!

I am going to do some research in the next week
or so about Saint Louis...I'll let you know what I find

A teacher friend told me Grant's Farm was fun. What do you know about that?

I NEED this giraffe! :yay: Not sure how to get it, but it needs to be mine!!! I wonder how I would go about finding one. Do you happen to remember what store this was in by chance? Santa :santa: would be a very loved man if this showed up under our tree this year.

Those were at the gift shop on the right as you leave the park.

My guidance counselor will be there, too!

Have a blast! :dance3:

If Chesterfield is a nice family-friendly place, it's good with me.

I'll look for the Top 25 for St. Louis.

Great update. Loved WL. It is the only deluxe we have ever done. Did you see the geiser? It was out of order the whole time we stayed there. That was kinda sad.

We have seen the geyser many times. It's one of the things I told the guidance counselor to go see. That is sad that it was out. I never thought about the fact that it could be 'out of order'.

No, not entirely. Danielle and my niece Bailey did go up on the bridge and make some wishes. I was too busy taking their picture. I also didn't know how magical it is at the time.

Powerful.
Be careful what you wish. ;)

Another DIS kindness is done. Very nice. :)

As far as I have always known, bodacious is bodacious. I thought their spelling was a little odd.

One day we'll get Henry and the girls splashing around in some water jets together. Maybe at Pop in March, or at DTD?

Those stuffed animals are SO cute!

Love WL. I really want to make time on my next trip to walk around there.

Cute pics of the girls at the pool, they seemed to be having so much fun

They did have a good time. A few people came in and out of the pool, but they had several times when they had the whole pool to themselves.

I love the WL photos!

I'll head over to your PTR in a bit. I am excited for everyone who is getting close to leaving. :woohoo:

And what a fun time spent with the girls.

I will love your pictures. I hope we can stay at Wilderness Lodge many times more in the future.

Brooklynn thought it was fun to eat an Itzakadoozie before supper.

I am finally caught up. I missed the exciting first pin trade and the huge dis meet. It looks like you really took that food court over.:goodvibes I have been in the hospital after being bitten by a fire ant last Wed. night. I went into antiphilactic shock. I enjoyed getting to see all your pictures as I am stuck in the bed or on the couch.

I have been in the hospital after being bitten by a fire ant last Wed. night. I went into antiphilactic shock.

Oh my gosh, I've never heard of that happening! Have you always been allergic to them?

Finally caught up! Can't seem to DIS too much anymore....between regular family stuff every night I don't get much "free time" anymore. We are currently all healthy! Hope to stay that way!

I am working on Ben to say yes to the Meet Me in St. Louis meet. It would be a nice weekend getaway! We didn't take a vacation or do much of anything last summer so I say yes! ;)

I loved they pictures from the Cupcake Dis meet. Looked like you had a wonderful time!

I love they Animal Kingdom pictures...I will miss it next summer. I really enjoy AK, but Ben could take it or leave it. We are only going to make it to MK and maybe Epcot if everything works out. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Great pics. I also love those animals. I am a huge giraffe fan but really  the tiger one. Where was the shop again??

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry you are allergic. I am too, along with a ton of other allergies. In fact, I am getting over a small spell from last week.

If you have any questions along those lines I am here to help from the patient viewpoint.
Between me and my daughter we have had our share of episodes and lots of experience on avoiding and dealing with them.

Well that's just 'WOW!' in a not good way, friend! So sorry to hear about all that. :flower3: I stepped in a hill/bed (whatever you would call it) of fire ants once, and it was horrible. Bites all over my leg. That alone was bad enough, but your deal is scary, for sure. Take good care of yourself!

Oh my gosh, I've never heard of that happening! Have you always been allergic to them?

Scary stuff, huh? People with food/insect/etc. allergies must really beware when they are out and about having a good time. Something most people take for granted could be life threatening for them. I worked summer camp with a lady who has many severe food allergies, and she has been hospitalized several times and truly did almost die once.

Tell Ben that if we come all the way up there from Tennessee, we expect to see his two delightful children as our reward. :thumbsup2 Brooklynn and Hannah would have a fabulous time together, and if Owen isn't opposed to playing with a girl , he and Bella could probably conjur up some mischief together, too.

For this October trip, money is so tight that I thought about just getting a two day ticket to go to MK and Epcot for Food & Wine, but I couldn't bear the thought of leaving out Animal Kingdom. As it turns out, AK day is going to be the day Trent gets to join us, so I am happy about that.

Great pics. I also love those animals. I am a huge giraffe fan but really  the tiger one. Where was the shop again??

I got my tiger at Island Mercantile at AK.

And I found them at the shop as you are going out of the gates on the right. I'm sure they are in several places.

All of you need to be careful. ::yes:: We have to take care of our DIS buddies!

Jill, I'm ready for July 4th pictures, if you are ready. Let me know if you have done them already or when you get them up. Love you!

I hope your Dismeet in Atlanta went well, I haven't read back, just wanted to pop in and say hi. We're having a wonderful time, at least now. The trip down was rough, Carter started running a 104 deree fever, so we had to stop at an emergency room! It ended up taking us 13 1/2 hours to make a 6 hour trip, but the important thing is our little man is fine, just had a virus nd was pretty much over it by Sunday afternoon. We're on our way to the studios this morning.

By the way, we LOVE Pop! I'm looking forward to staying here again!

Terri
