Hi MeMom and Crew,

I have been lurking on your trip reports past and present and would love to join in to your Atlanta meet!

I don't know much about Mall of GA since I have only been there twice for the IMAX theatre, but I do know that North Point Mall has a very awesome soft play area for the little ones.

Sorry I didn't respond earlier, but I wasn't sure I would be able to attend. I am *technically* scheduled to work that day AND it's our first wedding anniversary. So I'm playing hookie from work for a DIS meet and a wonderful evening out with my hubby

Can't wait to see you all there!

It looks like it's been a wonderful holiday weekend for families. Memom go to spend it with her girls and Dawn and Ray welcomed precious little Seth into the world. I got to spend most of yesterday with my adorable Carter, what could be better??

Of course I have another Disney question. I got an autograph book for Carter, but I'm wondering what is the best type of pen to use. I have some click top sharpies that I thought might work, thinking they would be easy for the characters to hold, but I'm not sure. What do you guys use?

Terri

Happy Labor Day to you all!
I can just imagine Brooklynn all absorbed in that movie!
Bella baking up those Fisher Price people gave Marc and I a laugh this morning.
Enjoy your day, it is a lovely Monday isn't it?

We used the clickable Sharpies and they worked very well. We didn't have to keep up with the cap and they're "fat" so easier for the characters in costume to hole them.

Funny how much better those Sunday nights are when Monday is a holiday! :lmao: Glad you are enjoying some family time. :goodvibes Hope those FP little people are ok. :scared1:

Good morning and happy Labor Day!
I'm glad I have had some time this morning to catch up a little. I am so far behind here on the DIS. I've been very busy getting ready for school to start.
Hope you are enjoying your day off!:goodvibes

Less than two weeks is so awesome!!! :cheer2:

I always look at walls, ceiling, and floors in Disney World. You can find some interesting art work.

Thanks!! Yes, it is very awesome !! We are down to 10 days as of today !!

I'm going to have to do more of that after seeing all your cool pictures !!

Happy Labor Day MeMom & Gang !!!

Happy Labor Day weekend, everyone! :cool1:

Hope you all have a nice day! I'm at Mom and Dad's today, having a pork loin and corn on the cob dinner - YUM! Then I am going home to have a movie afternoon....I'll stop at the store and get popcorn on the way home, then watch movies this afternoon. I'm thinking I'll do an Alfred Hitchcock marathon. I LOVE those movies!

Have a great day, everyone! Take care,

Katie :lovestruc

Brooklyn did Dinosaur like Miren did - just once! She rode first with Ramon and then was going to ride with me. We had a baby swap so we walked right in to the movie part. As soon as the doors opened to the loading area, she said she didn't want to go. I really wanted to. I like this ride and haven't been on it since before she was born, so over 6 years. I was a little upset. It was not my finest moment.

Love the look on her face!! :cutie:

I may be looking for these NEXT MONTH!

:woohoo: :dance3: :woohoo:

So are we!!

I posted the news on my TR with some plans. Oh, and maybe an update or two.

Congratulations to Dawn and Ray!!!!!!!!! I'm going over to her thread now.

Happy Birthday, Trent!!

MeMom, you mentioned Trent's AP expired - you know now that he's a Florida resident he can get the resident rate and is eligible to pay it in monthly payments. I'm sure you know this, but just wanted to remind you.

I'm not sure when Trent is going to renew his pass, but I imagine he will use the monthly payment method. I'd be doing that, too, if it was an option. :thumbsup2

Maybe when Miren and Brooklynn are a little older and can handle it, they can give Dinosaur another try. Maybe they can even do that together when some future trip overlaps with each other.

The one day I don't come on the DIS, a baby is born! Congrats Dawn and Ray!!!

I just got home a little while ago from the Red Sox game. The Sox lost but we still had fun. The seats were amazing! The poor 4 year old boy in front of me got hit in the head by a foul ball :guilty: He cried a little, but he was okay. And the player that hit the foul ball came over and brought him an autographed ball

We're having a cookout tomorrow since it's Josh's day off I finally figured out when Jeremy, Leslie, and Caleb are coming down Next weekend

Poor little guy! It hurts to get by a baseball!

Hope you have enjoyed a wonderful day with the family. So glad we have a four day work week!

From what I am gathering today, since Dawn delivered early, we'll meeting at the Town Center Mall. I'll let Jackie and Heather help everyone out with directions. We'll be happy to have you!

Usually Sharpies. :thumbsup2

You know how close you are now?!?!? :dance3:

Happy Labor Day, MeMom and Jill!!! Isn't it such a nice feeling to have a Monday off?

It's great, although I do still have some school work I have to face later. Right now, I'm just chillin'.

Happy Labor Day to you all!
I can just imagine Brooklynn all absorbed in that movie!
Bella baking up those Fisher Price people gave Marc and I a laugh this morning.
Enjoy your day, it is a lovely Monday isn't it?

She's a crazy little girl. This morning she was sitting in a laundry basket full of toys stuffing an old Disney Princess wallet full of crayons. She did that for about twenty minutes.

Brooklynn also watched a MNSSHP video two times - once last night and once today.

We used the clickable Sharpies and they worked very well. We didn't have to keep up with the cap and they're "fat" so easier for the characters in costume to hole them.

Yep, they are perfect. :goodvibes

Funny how much better those Sunday nights are when Monday is a holiday! Glad you are enjoying some family time. Hope those FP little people are ok. :scared1:

Way better.
And I bet Monday would be better if were off on Tuesday! :rolleyes1

The Little People were playing again this morning, so I guess they were okay. The fireman kept getting eaten by a teething toddler. He's lucky to have made it.

Good morning and happy Labor Day!

It hurts to be so busy we can't check in on our DIS friends. Good to have you back! Hope you have an awesome school year!

Thanks!! Yes, it is very awesome !! We are down to 10 days as of today !!

I'm going to have to do more of that after seeing all your cool pictures !!

Happy Labor Day MeMom & Gang !!!

You will get a whole new appreciation for what Disney does when you see all of the not so noticeable details.

Ten days! Very cool. :cool1:

Happy Labor Day Everyone!

Hope y'all are having a great day!

Jill and crew left a little while ago. All is quiet here now. Drew is in Knoxville. Not sure what Trent is up to today.

Town Center Mall for Saturday, it's looking like. Does that work for you? More details to come.

I'd be too chicken to watch horror movies. I have school work, but I will probably watching some HGTV while I am doing it. :)

*********************************

THE GREAT ATLANTA CUPCAKE MEET will be at Town Center Mall, it seems.
Jackie and Heather can help you guys out with directions, if you need them. I don't have a clue where that is. We'll be there around 11, but I don't think Trent will be there that early. We'll stake out a spot and decorate cupcakes as we talk and watch the kids play. When everyone gets there, we'll get our food court yummies and eat. After that, whoever wants to can go to The Disney Store, and whoever needs to leave can do so

We may take a picture or two. ;)

Sound okay?

The pook a looz plushies were marked down to $5.99 at the Disney Store in KC. I was able to get the Alice in Wonderland gang with the exception of the Cheshire Cat. Could someone please check on him for me while you all are in that store? :worship:
Thanks so much!

I have been severely reprimanded by my lovely daughter, as she called to tell me that when she went to load more pictures, she found that there were more to the AK day that I had not yet put up. In her words, I am becoming senile. :)

Could be true.

So, I apologize to you for the delay and to her for indicating that the delay was her doing.

On with Animal Kingdom, where I wish I was right now.

I suppose it is fitting that this is the next picture, as Jill could be looking a bit like this at me at this moment. :upsidedow

IMG_6267.jpg

Not really. She wasn't mad. Just couldn't believe I didn't realize there were still more pictures. ;)

So, after we left Dinoland, we met up with Trent, who had come over to the park. Does the evil eye above tell you where we met him?

If not, what about this?

IMG_6268.jpg

We met Trent at Pizzafari, where he was stuffing his face.

(Photobucket is being weird right now, so if this is not showing up now, maybe it will later.)

IMG_6266.jpg

I'm sure you recognized him by that hat!

IMG_6271.jpg

So many cool drawings to photograph here.

IMG_6270.jpg

IMG_6269.jpg

I believe it was decided that we would go ride Kali River. As we walked, we saw a very large blue insect with which we wished to have a picture.

IMG_6272.jpg

IMG_6273.jpg

IMG_6275.jpg

Bella was not thrilled about the aforementioned large blue insect.

IMG_6277.jpg

IMG_6278.jpg

She did check out his antennae, though.

IMG_6279.jpg

Next: We behold the Tree of Life, and Bella goes to Brazil...sort of.

Yes, we will be happy to do that. :thumbsup2

*****************************************

We came upon the grand Tree of Life,
which is really not a tree,
but a water tower covered with branches and animals-
but we still like it.

IMG_6282.jpg

Jill wanted to get a family picture here from the Photopass guy, so the four of them stood sweetly in front of the tree.

As the Photopass guy began to shoot, three giddy Brazilian teenagers came right up into the picture and began taking pictures of their own, totally oblivious to the fact that they were right beside Jill and well into our pictures.

Jill felt that since we had some unknown people in our pictures, maybe they should take an unknown person back in their pictures.

So,

she held Bella up behind them as their person snapped pictures.

IMG_6283.jpg

The girl closest to me is wondering why I am laughing.

I think she found out when she got home. :rolleyes1

Both John and the Photopass guy thought it was rather comical, as well.

IMG_6284.jpg

The previous post posted itself!
Not sure what I hit.

Anyway, then it was Brooklynn's turn for some photo fun. The man explained to her how to hold her arms and hands out as if there were characters in them. She was not buying it at all, and thought he was funny and ridiculous. Her reactions and comments were funny as she posed.

She's thinking, 'I so don't see Simba here.'

IMG_6285.jpg

IMG_6286.jpg

IMG_6287.jpg

She said things like, "There is no Tinker-bay-uhl in my hand."

Some of these aren't showing up for me again. Crossing my fingers for later. I'll try the Kali pictures later.

The Tree of Life pictures are great and funny, Brazilian teenagers and all. Just think of their surprise when they look at their pictures.

I love the expression on Brooklynn's face in the first Simba picture.

I plan on being at Town Center Mall on Saturday.

Here are my pictures and commentary up to this point.

A few from the safari.

IMG_8163.jpg

Super cute safari kid!

Our awesome safari guide, Rosalind!

IMG_8203.jpg

Then we headed to Dinoland where Brooklynn bought her Simba and Nala with her own money.

IMG_8207.jpg

The girls were totally entranced

Love this sweet face!

The guy kept telling Brooklynn to look at her hand and Tinkerbell would be there. She would glance down for a brief second and then look at the guy like he was crazy. This is the picture we got. It is one of my favorites!

Awesome photopass pictures. The Brazillian Group photo story was the best. You can tell how John was laughing when Jill was holding Bella up. Very funny.

Towne Center Mall sounds great. We will see you at 11:00.

Lol I like how John is laughing in the background of the Brazilian pic!

Brooklynn and the Tink pic is my favorite! Very cute :)
