She really seemed to love it last night. She played it for about half an hour before bedtime. She did much better with it than I thought she would.

If you don't mind, let me know which game she likes best. I am looking to add a game for Christmas and have been eyeing both. We only have Tinkerbell, which she loves.

MeMom it looks like you had a great weekend.

Happy belated birthday Brooklynn.

Love the tea set that Anita sent. Very cute.

Looks like you had plenty of food. Drew never made it huh??

Glad you got some alone time with Trent. Before you know it you will be on your fall break trip

Drew came back Monday evening. Not Saturday night or Sunday morning, like he had said. Drew's not a big family person, unfortunately. He was having much fun at the bike parks in Ohio, so we ranked second to that. In his defense, I know nothing of his genetic history, but I do think he has some degree of attachment disorder. He never was a lovey baby, although he did let me love on him, and he's never had much in the way of emotions. He does okay, but he's been a very different experience than my other two.

The fall break trip will be very welcomed! :goodvibes

This for me was a year of insanity, really. I can probably safely say that out of the 6 trips ( if you count Oct twice ) 3 maybe 4 would not have happened if I did not have the annual pass. 1 actually caused me to get the annual pass, so, yup 4 would not have happened. I have been very blessed to ba able to do that but I think as I look forward, it may be once a year or gasp longer than that.
Time off from work is one consideration as well as cost of course, but with no annual pass discounts and no VISA discounts coming along, I may be safe from Disney Marketing. Of course that can change.
I really enjoyed my trips so far and will enjoy the ones coming up so I do not regret a thing. I really needed to get away to relieve stress and I accomplished that.

I am looking forward to it.

It is always great to be staying somewhere new. Heck it is great to be staying somewhere familiar too!

We had a year when we went 5-6 times, too, and I loved it! Now it's more like three, and it really should be two or one or none until I get some bills paid. I don't think I would be in a very good state mentally, however, if I went to all work and no play.

Happy 4th Birthday Miss Brooklynn!!

You look like you had so much fun at all of your parties this weekend!

She sure did do a lot of celebrating.

Happy 4th Birthday Brooklyn!! Looks like you had some really nice parties!

Caleb too is not very good about sitting still for anything! Caleb's 2nd birthday is coming up soon! I am going to do a Thomas the train theme since he is now very much into choo choos. He loves lining them up in a line and then taking it apart again and doing it over again! LOL!

That will be a cute party. ::yes::

Happy Birthday, Brookie!
You guys throw the best parties! The parties I throw are nothing compared to you yours.

Well, if we lived as close to WDW as you do, we'd spend more time going there and less time having Disney parties. ;)

Awww I just love, love, loveee your Disney themed parties! What a wonderful time spent with family and friends. I really would have enjoyed a Beaches and Cream lunch (and ice cream) today!

I hate reading about Trent leaving Just always remember that they're not goodbyes but "see ya real soons"

The ice cream I had was good.
Not as good as a No Way Jose, but still good.

See ya real soon does help, but I would like soon to be sooner. I think we will get to a point financially someday where we can fly back and forth more often and it will all work out, if he does decide to stay there.

Okay Tent laying on Bella Hillarious Thanks Memom for the pictures the tears where flowing hard and fast .I am a sucker for family. Mine is close and I couldn't imagine it any other way! hurry Oct.

Sam

Family is one of hte best words in the world. We love each other very much, and it is hard, but Trent seems to have found some things that are good for him there, so he wants to stay for a while and see where they lead. He very well may end up back here or in Alabama, and he says that himself, but for now, this is working for him, so we do what we can to stay connected through phones, Facebooks, etc.

Do you have pics of the cupcakes? I am going to make them for C's bday in 2 weeks.

They looked very cute, and of course the kids loved them, she said.

What awesome parties!!! I loved how excited and cute Brooklyn was for her party.....Jill the cake came out great!!! Love all of the Disney touches everywhere!!! That Beaches and Cream and Storm Along Bay were great...now I am craving a sundae!!! Happy Birthday Brooklynn!!!

It's not a party without Disney touches. If we did a meal like that with no Disney theme, our guys would be lookig all over for some Hidden Mickeys! :)

Happy Bday again Brookie!

Jill-please let me know how she likes the Leapster. We are really interested in getting one for the little guy.

Sounds like it is a hit in many DIS homes! :dance3:

I'll bet she will love that leapster!
Happy Birthday Brooklynn!
I'm crawling off to bed now, it was a loooong day!

I felt the same way last night. I have a little more energy today.

My boys LOVE our Leapster! They are constantly playing it! I hope Brooklynn loves hers too!

I bet she will love it. Fun and learning all in one. Wish I could be that as a teacher.

Our Leapster is heaven sent here. It is such a life saver sometimes! I hope Brooklynn has as much with hers as the kiddos have with theirs.

Maybe I need some for the classroom.

Happy Birthday, Brooklynn!

And she still has a small party with John's family when they go to KY for Labor Day.

Great party pictures :thumbsup2

Looks like everyone had a great time at both and the food looks delicious !

Brooklynn looks like she got a lot of nice new toys to play with , that should keep her and Bella busy for awhile :)

Love the water slide , I've been telling the hubby we need to get one for the kiddies on of these days . Have you ever had in problems with yours Jill ?

Can't wait to continue the alphabet game popcorn::popcorn::

I will do some more letters tonight.

They have sure enjoyed the waterslide. You do have to clean it really well (maybe with bleach as soon as you drain it?) to keep it from getting mold. They have loaned it to other people for parties, as well.

If you don't mind, let me know which game she likes best. I am looking to add a game for Christmas and have been eyeing both. We only have Tinkerbell, which she loves.

And maybe by Christmas, you can look for that game at Opry Mills and we could have another go on the carousel! :dance3:

I have just discovered that I also slighted Letter U.
I apologize and offer to you the rest of the alphabet.

I really intended to do a much better job than I did, but my intentions and what I get done are often two different things on Disney trips. I hope you have enjoyed playing along, as pathetic as it got sometimes, and you are welcome to share and compare your lists now so everyone can see the answers. It will be interesting to see what the group puts together. I'm sure between everyone, every letter will be revealed before the answers are put out.

My son is way more lovey dovey than my daughter. I still think she slightly on the spectrum, however very high functioning. She does not like interaction and prefers to be by herself. She has friends and maybe acts a bit different when with them but it tires her out. Just starting back to school has her exhausted from the stress of having to be around other people and the noise and stimulation of that.

I think you have just figured out your next party.
A hidden Mickey party.

You did a great job. I think I got an A and an I. I was alone and had all the time in the world.
I think everyone would agree that getting the alphabet is a huge task and you did a wonderful job. :thumbsup2

I may have not had the where-with-all about the alphabet but I do have a great garbage can collection. :upsidedow

what a great party!!! sorry i'm late in reading about it but i really enjoyed the pictures. brooklynn is such a lucky girl!

DIS friends. Bella does not like to sit still for pictures.

BrookTrentAug2010102.jpg

look at all those pretty girls! :goodvibes and will is getting to be such a chunky monkey....so cute!

by the way, i saw your comment somewhere on here about a possible meet in december. this year we are coming for thanksgiving, not christmas. we really wanted to spend our first christmas as a family in our own home. so as long as seth is healthy and doing well, we'll be up in november. the only issue is that according to brett's visitation schedule, he gets margot thanksgiving and that weekend on odd years, not even. so we are hoping jordan will be decent and allow him to have her while we're in town for at least a day. we'll see!

Anita called me shortly after everyone had gone.
I guess she knew I was home alone crying.

I was.

She said funny things that made me laugh, so I wasn't crying when we hung up.

how sweet! this made me smile. :)

Not long after that Bubby arrived!!!!

A hidden Mickey party.

Could be an interestingh party. :)

Drew is ADD. No H, for which I am grateful, because ADD is enough in itself. He had some rough teenage years, because the academics of school was not his thing. The social life - now that's another story. He is very social with his friends, just not so much with his family. Whenever he does go on our Disney trips, though, he seems to have a good time. He really only cares to go for a short time, though, and if nothing else is going on. It's okay, because I understand. If I had the opportunity to go to WDW over going to a car show or water skiing or to a BMX competition, I would choose my favorite, too!

Terri

It would have been better if I had used a designated camera just for the alphabet so I could be sure they were all together. Jill looked through and hunted them down from different memory cards.

Go ahead and start telling the ones you know for sure, if you'd like.

such a cute picture!

Maybe we'll see you for a minute at Thanksgiving then. I know you will have a ton of other people to see, so just a moment, if you have one to spare.

Brooklynn ran straight into Trent's arms. He just melts when he sees those girls. It is really hard on him to be so pulled. He really likes Florida and his job down there, but he misses his family and friends here so much that it hurts. I think he'll end up closer to home in time, but for now, this is what he needs to do.

I hope somebody will be brave and post your list of the letters you know for sure.

Hi! Checking in from a cafe with WiFi! We're having a great time. Josh and Kazin showed up at noon on Sunday. The weather wasn't great that day so we didn't get in the water but we did have a cookout. My mom and my grandma went to the grocery store and I stayed with Josh and Kazin and we sat down on the dock by the water. It was the first time the next generation of our family has been here so it was special. We went in the water on Monday but Kazin wasn't thrilled. It was too cold and windy for him. But he was amused when his daddy ran down the dock and jumped in theatrically :rotfl: The weather was beautiful yesterday so Josh and I took Kazin back in the water in the morning. This time he loved it. I took video and tons of pictures of him playing in the water and in the sand and on the swing set. Josh and Kazin left yesterday afternoon. He wanted to stay longer but he had to work today. I think he had a great time, but I'm sure it was hard for him to be here without his mom for the first time.

Kazin was playing with a Pooh stuffed animal yesterday and after Josh said it, Kazin said "Winnie the Pooh!" And I was wearing a Mickey shirt and Josh said "Kazin look who's on your cousin's shirt! Mickey Mouse!" and Kazin came over and kissed it. I knew he'd be a Disney baby :thumbsup2 I also swear I heard him say what sounded like "MeMom" yesterday. I honestly have no idea where he would've picked that up.

Happy belated birthday Brooklynn!

Wheew. Just caught up after our trip. A whole bunch of pages since Aug 5. We have been back a bit but I always find it hard to go back to DIS right after leaving WDW. weird huh. Anyway, the pictures have all been so great. Jill is so creative for the parties she throws and especially for the cakes and cupcakes!! It is so great that Trent and his friends came up for the parties and that you had time with him!

So glad you are helping the little ones develop a love for Disney things. Hopefully you guys can have many trips together in the years ahead.

Kid jabber is funny. Bella says 'Laadle, laadle, laadle' sometimes. Who know what that means?

Enjoy the rest of your family time before school gets going again. :)

Anyway, the pictures have all been so great. Jill is so creative for the parties she throws and especially for the cakes and cupcakes!! It is so great that Trent and his friends came up for the parties and that you had time with him!

People handle their post-trip depression differently. I have read a lot of people saying the same as you - that it is hard to be here. I am just the opposite. I want to soak up everything I can.

I bet Jill is looking forward to having some relaxation this weekend.

I'm on a different computer right now, but I will share my list tomorrow!

Wonderful parties! Thank you for sharing the pictures! I love your idea of the Beach Club. Henry would have a ball with that!!!

Thanks. I was hoping that between several people sharing, we would cover them all. :thumbsup2
My next game challenge is going to be Disney ride/attraction signs. I'll show a small section of the sign, then pan out for the answer. I'll do that one in October.

Henry would love a beach party in the middle of NYC! :cool1: If we had had all of our DIS kids over Sunday, I would have probably 'sprung' for that fifty dollar pool I saw at Target.

Loved the party pics!! So glad the family could get together and have such a great time celebrating!!!! The girls just keep getting cuter and cuter!!!

YAY for Anita calling!! Aren't we so blessed to have found some amazing friends on here!!!!!

Hope you have a great end of your week MeMom!! Still working on getting my room together and getting my first week papers sent to the print shop and copied!!!! Tuesday is going to be here before I know it LOL!

Yes, we do have awesome DIS friends! :goodvibes

You'll have to show us your room when you have it finished. You will sneak some Disney in, I hope, even though I imagine it will be on a much smaller scale than elementary school.

*********************************

I am in the midst of trying to stir up an Atlanta DIS meet in September. Jill and I were talking this morning, and she said she needed our Disney trip to hurry up and get here. I suggested another Disney Store trip to Memphis. She said she thought Atlanta was just as close, if not closer, so in brainstorming, I am thinking we could not only have a DIS meet with all of our Georgia friends, but Trent could possibly drive up to ATL. He thinks the weekend of the 11th might be best for him. It will be awesome if he can come and Dawn, Jackie, Heather, and whoever else is willing to travel! :dance3: I am so excited about the possibility of this happening to help ease the time between now and October.

I will do some more letters tonight.

They have sure enjoyed the waterslide. You do have to clean it really well (maybe with bleach as soon as you drain it?) to keep it from getting mold. They have loaned it to other people for parties, as well.

Awe thanks for that tip I will keep that in mind if we purchase one for the kids next summer about the cleaning :thumbsup2 That's so sweet that they share it with others for there parties

A new group of children comes today to spend this year with me. Each group holds the loud, the weepy, the shy, the unmotivated, the over-achievers, the slow but sure, the go-getters, the lovey-doveys, the musicians, the artists, the athletes, and the lost.

It will be interesting to get to know each of them as these hot summer days roll slowly into the orange and gold of fall, the ice of winter, and back into the green of spring. Our relationships will turn from strangers to friends to family in that span. I hope I will be a positive role model for them and make a good and lasting impression on each life.

Best wishes to all of my teacher friends today and in the year ahead!

Yes, I was this far behind! What a lovely sentiment! Your students are very lucky to have a teacher like you :goodvibes I hope they have all begun to adjust well by this point and that you will have a great school year!

I also need to wish Brooklyn a very belated Happy Birthday!

I haven't been able to spend nearly as much time on the DIS as I would like in the last few weeks, so I didn't play your alphabet game, but you did a great job with it - I can't wait to see everyone's guesses!

When I get home tonight, I'll post my alpha list :). We'll see how I did.

Happy Thursday!!
