From Pop to GF! ??? about AP rates..

My DH and I decided to take our daughter to WDW for her 9th birthday this January 29th since we've purchased AP's and we want to use them as much as possible!

A little background.....Initially, we planned on going to Pop Century, but after inviting my parents along to celebrate, our plans have changed to now stay at GF. Yippee! We've never stayed there before and my parents generously offered to make up the difference in what we had budgeted for this trip.

My question for you all is this. When I see AP rates, I rarely see anything for the GF (maybe I never looked too hard b/c we've never stayed there). Are there usually AP rates/availability for the GF? We are planning on going down for a long weekend - January 28th through the 31st. What are our chances of getting an AP rate?

Thanks so much in advance for any help you can give me. Also, any feedback on the GF is appreciated too! I'm a newbie with that resort and we are very excited to stay there!

I received an AP rate at the GF in 2001. I have also read of others getting AP rates there. So, yes, they do offer the GF at the AP rate. But you need to call when they're first released - that goes for any resort. Good luck at getting the rate you want!!!

We had a GF AP rate in July for a GV room. Now we have a AAA rate for GF for July 2005 and hoping that an AP rate comes out. You will love GF and so will your daughter. Our kids never want to stay anywhere else!

We got an AP rate for our Christmas stay Dec. 17-23
