From POP - rent at CCC or Dolphin?

We are going to be renting a car for 5 days (didn't plan on renting at all, so this is all I'm allowing myself to spend). I found a reasonable rate for 5 day rental from National (using Amex code from Mousesavers, and $20 weekly rental). I will return the car at MCO on the day we depart.

This rate is available from either the Car Care Center or Dolphin. We are staying at Pop. Is it easier to get to CCC or Dolphin from Pop? I'll be picking it up on a non-park day.

If you call the Car Care Center, they will send someone to pick you up.

I believe the rental office at the Dolphin closes at 4:00 pm, so your choice may be limited by what time you want to pick up the car.

Do some tests before actually renting the car. If you put Orlando in the box where you pick up the car, it will list your choices. Play around with your various options.

I was playing around with rental rates for October and found it would cost the same to pick up the car at the airport or the Car Care Center. So I opted for the airport (your mileage may vary).

Dolphin! We were at POP in May, we went to Epcot on our car rental day (a Friday),walked over to the Dolphin, we did all the paperwork around 3ish, the arranged pickup time. Then, we returned to Epcot for dinner and IllumiNations, with our keys in hand. After the show ended, we walked back to the Dolphin, handed the valet our car keys, he drove the car around to us...we drove to the entrance of the Dolphin, took a left, took a left at the lights, then about 3 rights later, we turned onto Victory Way, and into POP..incredibly easy. We left for Tampa the next morning, and on Sunday afternoon, dropped the car at Tampa Intnl and flew home...so much easier than I had imagined it was going to be.
