My DD and I will be staying at AKV and then moving over to BWV in a few weeks. My question is, does Disney provide this transportation or do we have to hassle w our carry on luggage and pay for a cab or take a Disney bus to a park and then another to the second resort?
In short, what's the best way to get from one to the next?
TIA

In short

Bell Services will move your luggage and groceries (if you have any), but you will need to rely on regular Disney Transportation or taxi to get yourselves between destinations.

Also Carry On suitcases are not allowed on Disney buses, so let Bell Services handle those as well.
The easiest way is to take a cab and all your luggage yourselves to the next resort. Disney delivers the luggage they transfer after 3 in the afternoon.

Best way is to take the bus to HS and then it is a short walk or boat ride to BWV

I often do a split stay between DVC resorts. I hand off all my bags (I do keep a backpack with anything I may need for the day!!) early in the morning. Then, I head to a park until midday. Then, I head to the new resort and get checked in. My villa is seldom available. I leave the backpack with Bell Services. Then, I head off to a park again, and when I get my text that my villa is ready, I head back to the resort and get settled in.

The next time I do this it will be between regular non-DVC resorts. I may very well take a cab from one resort to the next simply because the chances of my room being ready are much better than at a DVC resort. And that way, I will have my bags available at the new resort.
When you allow Disney to move your bags, you have to understand that you won't get your bags until late afternoon, at the earliest!!! I have never been able to get my transferred bags until well past 5pm, even though I hand them over by 7:30am!!
