hello Toni/chick, Let's see lunch at Teppanedo on Friday, the 3rd is at 12:20, we should be just finishing up when you get there. I'm going for the fillet, you? And I'm like Terrry/dude also, I like Blizzard Beach but it's got to be a perfect day for it. Unlike most northerners, I don't like to be cold. Even the lazy river can be a torture chamber when all the sprays and waterfalls hit you.

Tomorrow morning is a very important pre-trip day for me. It's when I go to see Doc, and I'm not talking about one of the dwarves. It's just a semi annual visit where he checks my blood pressure and re- prescribes all the meds.

And the vikes.

I've not had a problem so far but you never know, he might decide to stop them for "my own good". Then I will have to show him my foot again, "You think that thing doesn't hurt?"

Oh, and gottta go and put in a mail stop at the post office.

And I'm lookin forward to the Bears game tonight, always interesting to see which team shows up, the Chicago Bears or the Pop Warner Bears.

There ya go, an exciting update from Nebo on the pre trip report circuit.

I was just looking for something in an old report and I ran across this from Shrunk the Checkbook. Forgot all about it and even though it's over two years old now, it probably still applies to all of us.

If you have ever sold blood 3 times in the same week, along with extra internal organs that you can live without to upgrade to a moderate,,,
You might be a disser.

If you have sat down at a poker game, and tried to use Disney Dollars...
You might be a disser.

If Steve Birnbaum seems like a newbie to you,,,
You might be a disser.

If the cd in your car has "Grim Grinning Ghosts, and "Momma don't whup little Buford",,,,
You might be a disser.

If you can make a 52 card deck and play Gin Rummy, out of your old room key cards...
You might be a disser.
With aces being the ones that say free dining.

If your family room is wallpapered in old park maps, have saved change for the last six months so you can buy a Lapu Lapu, if you notice on Pirates that the one sitting over you is missing a hair on his leg.....
You might be a disser.

You might be a disser if you have more than 3 items in your closet that match the lime green Mickeys.

If you have ever thrown a 260 pound linebacker off the bridge that goes into Mexico because he wouldn't shut up during Illuminations....
You might be a disser.

And finally,,,,
If you have stargazed on a clear, cloudless night, and yelled, "See that? In the constellation of Orion? A hidden Mickey!"....
You. Just. Might. Be. A. Disser.

Well......I might be a disser :lmao: I can definately make up a card deck!

Then there is the Mini golf coupon you get ahead of time, we will probably actually use that for a change, never been to Winter Summerland. In the middle of April-my dh almost crowned me for picking Winterland. Something about seeing Santa and Christmas, just didn't jive for him, but I'm betting it will be a lot more fun in December. And, if you get a free golf ball with Mickey--"who's your favorite moderator......"

Then on one of the days if there's nice weather I plan on going parasailing on Bay Lake. I need to keep reading, but I quoted it anyhow as I read it. :rotfl:

On your TR's-Keep it the way you report it!!

Hi Nebo!

I'm new to your trip reports and only up to August 30th so far. Love your work - it's very entertaining! Can I ask why you would choose Toy Story buildings over Dalmations, and what exactly is Andy's room?

Thanks!

If you are going to spend most of your time in the parks, with just some intermittent pool time, my list would be;
1. Sports (but not in July or December, and you must stay in preferred area, Surf's Up
2. Pop
3. Movies (but you must stay in preferred area Toy Story, in particular, Andy's Room)
4. Jazz section

If we were going as cheaply as possible, no preferred;
1 Pop, fifties section
2. Music, Jazz section
3 Movies, Dalmations or Mighty Ducks
4 Sports, Home Run

Then on one of the days if there's nice weather I plan on going parasailing on Bay Lake.

Ok, made that last part up, just to see if you were paying attention.

LOL, you had be screaming "NOOOOOOOOOOOO" with that one :rotfl:

Loved the rerun of the "Diser". I think I might just have to go back and reread some of the old ones

A classic! I'd love to have that embroidered on a pillow!

~Dawn

Yes Dawn, I think we can take away the "might" from "You might be a disser".

Well......I might be a disser :lmao: I can definately make up a card deck!

The scary thing is, even with all our split stays, I can pretty much look at any old room key card and tell you from which resort it was from, just by the date.

On your TR's-Keep it the way you report it!!

I believe OhMari is saying that because I mentioned that I might go parasailing on Bay Lake, and since I mentioned it, she wants me to keep it.

She hates me.

Hi Nebo!

Thanks!

Hello Imbcdb, boy, you talk about someone who needs to buy a vowel, or 5.....
Both areas are now "preferred sections". We didn't know it at the time and after paying for preferred expecting to be put in Fantasia, we got put in Dalmations, which would have been ok if it was on the main walkway, where there's actual Dalmations themeing going on. But no, they put us in the back, facing a lot of trees and another building across the way. If you looked to the left you had a lovely view of the parking lot and it was still a long walk to the pool and food court.

Most of Toy Story is also preferred now I believe, but Andy's room area is a kid's dream. Andy's room means just what it sounds like, the kid from Toy Story. THere's a giant half open door that leads to the rooms area just like a kid's bedroom door. Inside there's a giant Buzz and Woody, with cartons of all the other TS characters spilling out.
It's Disney theming at it's best.

LOL, you had be screaming "NOOOOOOOOOOOO" with that one :rotfl:

I don't think OhMari saw the part about "only kidding."
Did you know she hates me? Seems she has it in her mind that I put down her beloved Wisconsin, not sure where she got that from.

Yep, you're sick too.

LOVE the new title! :santa:

Thanks, I sure took the lazy way out, didn't I? An edit here, an edit there, I'm good to go!

It's time to check the trip ticker now:

Yep, nine ticks till we get to put this square peg into the round, aluminum tube of death.

can't wait.:sad2:

Woke up this morning a little grumpy knowing I have to go see doc in a little bit. I was a bit bashful at first knowing I won't be happy if he doesn't give me the pills that make me dopey but every thing went all right.

Well, except my blood pressure was a bit high, even with the medication; 160 over 95.
After he wrote out all the prescriptions he wanted to take my pressure again to double check. Seeing that the vikes were written out already, well, what do you know, now it's 140 over 90!

Damn, those pills are good! You don't even have to take them and your health improves!

He even gave me a few Vallium for the flight, I'll have to try one ahead of time at home to see if I like them. I just hated the xanax I tried the last time we flew, I didn't even take them on the plane. Hope these don't make me feel like that.

Also put in a stop for the mail and picked up a bunch of little bottles for a buck a piece.
Just in case Smidgy feels the need to get busted again.

Oh, and I see Accuweather has taken away the nuclear strike from the forecast again and dropped the first 4 days temperature back down 12 degrees ,
And these scientists get paid for this?

Guess that's it for now, later. :yay:

You are killing me with the "aluminum tube of death" talk. Are you ready to get patted down or scanned?

So happy the doctor wrote out your prescriptions, now you are all ready.
I am glad you talked about stopping the mail, I almost forgot to do that and 14 days worth of mail in our mailbox would not work.

Accuweather is anything but accurate. I am not looking there again. I couple of days before the trip Bill will get online and go to WESH or another local tv station's website down there and we will watch their forecast. Makes me less crazy that way.

What, is a comet expected to hit Orlando at that time?

Well, if Nebo is in town, I wouldn't COMPLETELY discount the possibility...

Maybe Blizzard Beach could be renamed Comet Crater? But I'm sure that you'll come through it with only the ABC's (abrasions, bruises and contusions).

Cut the valium in half. That way, it isn't so strong and it just takes the edge off for you. And stop looking at the weather report, you are going to drive yourself nuts.

When we wake up tomorrow only 7 for us!!! YAY Oh and i was certain i had quoted you wrong on what you call a plane!! :confused3

Nothing like moden medicine to make us feel better. just make sure you save them for the trip.. don't take them before!! at least you won't need them for the LONG drive down for days.

He even gave me a few Vallium for the flight, I'll have to try one ahead of time at home to see if I like them. I just hated the xanax I tried the last time we flew, I didn't even take them on the plane. Hope these don't make me feel like that.

Dr. gave me xanax in the hospital once.. Now, I don't know what an acid trip is like, but i think it would be like that.. at least to me.. It did not relax me or reduce any anxieties, but added to them.. valium on the other hand.. valium good, xanax bad!! :rotfl:

Also put in a stop for the mail and picked up a bunch of little bottles for a buck a piece.

careful you're gonna get in trouble for that one!!

go figure..only job where you can be wrong MOST of the time and still keep your job. Wish my job was like that!

Guess that's it for now, later. :yay:

I'm sure the weather will change again soon!! we've been watching pretty closely too. Can wait for next Saturday morning!!! nonstop flight to Orlando.

Well, if Nebo is in town, I wouldn't COMPLETELY discount the possibility...

Don't ssay that... I'm going to be down there the same time as he is!!!:eek::eek::scared1::scared1::scared1:

Now there will be a sight to see... Nebo getting extra special attention by TSA. Sure glad i'm not getting on the plane up there :goodvibes

Tell Smidgy to leave the little bottles in the checked luggage though!! :)

Ok, I had to laugh my rear off! Accuweather's headquarters are in State College PA... all of 10 miles from my house... and they can't even get the weather right here!!!! :lmao: They are notorious for even getting our CURRENT weather conditions wrong... and all they have to do is look out the window!!!! I have known some of the people that have worked there and I can totally understand why they can't the weather right! Some days they were lucky to know their names! :rotfl2: I am sure there are some good ones there but they have to be predicting the weather for another planet!

I don't think you need to change anything about your writing style, Nebo! I like hearing the Nebo and Smidgy story rather than all the ride descriptions. (I sometimes get bored of those in other TRs.:rolleyes1) And, I would like to see more pictures. Especially of the Christmas decorations....

Ditto!!! :goodvibes

Hello Imbcdb, boy, you talk about someone who needs to buy a vowel, or 5.....
I'm a little slow this evening. It took me a good 5 minutes to figure out what the heck you were talking about. However, my brain is a bit fuzzy this wonderful Friday evening. I am "celebrating" the beginning of a 9-day break from my wonderful students.

But figure it out I did. My username is actually Lmbcdb, and I've used it for years - it's mine and my DH's initials all mushed together. Now that I've been on the boards awhile, I wish I could change it.

Thanks for the advice on the building. That's where we are headed in 4 weeks. I'm going to ask for Andy's room!
