From LAX to DLR

This seems like a stupid question - but I can't seem to find the answer. What is the cheapest way to get from LAX to DLR? We are staying a GC and don't plan on renting a car.

The Disneyland Express Bus operated by Gray Line Tours.

You can print out a $2 saving coupon, making it $18 each way per adult and $15 for kids.

That's just in Disney World. They have the Disneyland Express (by Gray Line) in CA, but you pay per person.

Do you have to be staying at the DLR hotel or Good Neighbor hotels to use the Grayline? This will be my first trip to DLR, but I'm not staying on property or in a GN hotel.
