Is it Possible to take a boat or ferry from Epcot to the Boardwalk?

If so, When is the last time of night it will arrive?

What I actually would like to do is go to the Boardwalk after having dinner at the Grand Floridian. I thought the esiest thing to do would be to take the monarail from the GF to Epcot, and then get on the ferry at Epcot and got to Boardwalk.

There's a boat that goes from Epcot to the Boardwalk, YC, Swan, Dolphin and MGM (all on the same boat). I think there are a couple of these boats, to keep things running. I don't know how late they run though.

Yes there is a boat but I found it quicker to walk to both Epcot and MGM when we stayed at the BCV so it would be just as quick to walk to the Boardwalk IMHO.

With a 9:00pm close, I believe the last boat leaves Epcot at 10:00pm. The boat stop is from the International Gateway, which is between France and United Kingdom in the World Showcase.

By the time you wait for the boat you could easily walk it in less than 10 minutes.

If MK is still open, you could take the monorail from GF to MK and then catch the BW bus. If MGM is still open, you could take the bus from GF to MGM and then the boat or walk to Boardwalk.

Here's what I would do.

Take monorail to Magic Kingdom walk to bus stops, take bus to Boardwalk. Trip should take about 30 minutes

Less walking that way.

If you take monorail to Epcot, you must walk through Epcot and also change monorails at the TTC. I bet it will take well over an hour maybe 2.

Resort Monorail GF to TTC (stops at MK and CR on way) - let's say 15 minutes

Monorail TTC to Epcot - 15-20 minutes

Walk through Epcot - good pace would be 20 minutes assuming no stopping

Wait for Friendship Boat at Epcot Intl Gateway - 1st stop would be BW OR walk to BW from Epcot IG - 10-15 minutes

I would say about 1.25-1.5 hrs total

I like the other posters ideas - go to MK and then get a bus to BWV/BWI

thanks

taxi idea is the way I always go, however, it costs more like $12...when I do it anyway..
other wise take monorail to MK, and then bus to BW.
way way quicker than monorailt to Epcot and walk to BW - ferry boat to BW is just ridiculous, it takes 5 - 7 minutes to walk from the international gateway to the BW. by the time you wait for the boat...etc, you could be in bed :)

You will definitely have a very long walk, as mentioned above, because you will have to walk from the front of Epcot to the very back just to get the ferry. I agree with the alternative mentioned above. We went from the Contemporary to the yacht club last year taking the monorail, then catching the ferry...the whole way fighting the crowd leaving after Illuminations. We were 3 people walking against thousands.....NOT FUN! :hyper:

We discovered the most wonderful thing about 3 trips ago....USING TAXI 'S. To some it may seem silly but when going from resort to resort it's your best bet and WELL worth the 15 or so dollars for door to door service !!

Taxi fans as well. Any meal at the GF is going to set you back a bit o' change - consider the cab fare to be part of the cost of dinner (we also spent more like $12 on cabfare from GF to BW).

We like taking the monorail to Epcot then strolling through Epcot back to the BW (we only take the boat when the kids "little legs are too tired to walk"), but it isn't quick and Illuminations crowds would not be a pleasant way to do it. Also, if you get off and Epcot has closed the turnstyles, IIRC, there isn't a bus to the Epcot area resorts - you'll need to catch a bus to DTD and catch another bus to BW. We also have been known to do it in reverse - catching the monorail to the MK (particularly if Epcot has an EE morning) by walking through Epcot. The monorail is just a cooler means of transporation than the bus.
