Hi all! Once we finish DLRP in the summer we're moving on to spend one day and Parc Asterix (starng in a hotel the night before and after) - added advantage it leaves us on the "right" side of Paris for the journey home:goodvibes

Does anyone have any recommendations for good hotels near PA and/or Chntilly (which i understand is near)? My boys are 12 and 18 (and taaaall) so we can't stay in a room with bunk beds. We can do either 2 rooms or one big one with 2 doubles - whichever is cheaper! Don't mind a chain (but not the most basic - we want to have a breakfast available!)

TIA!

Tbh I haven't got a clue as we've been once to PA (it was enough) and went back home all in the same day

Are you planning on visiting Chantilly as well as they have a really nice Chateau and a horse musuem

PA have their own hotel on site which has family rooms or if not you've got the following chain hotels close by

Campanile do a buffet breakfast and I prefer them to Etap hotels (which have bunkbeds anyway)

Kyriad I find can be hit or miss and Mercure I've only ever stayed in their city hotels on business.

Novotel are not bad but like Mercure are more business orientated.

There's also an Ibis at Senlis which is a town close to Chantilly. Ibis do great buffet breakfasts :goodvibes

Chantilly is a truly beautiful place. One of the prettiest towns I've ever had the pleasure to visit. I've been twice and both times stayed at the Chateau Mont Royal. It's an absolutely fantastic hotel and is very close to Parc Asterix. It is a bit pricey though.

There aren't many hotels in Chantilly but there are a few in Senlis which is only a few miles away. These include an Ibis, etap and Campanille. All of which I've found to be decent enough for a nights stay. They're all pretty basic though. Senlis is a 15min drive to Parc Asterix.

Thanks both! After HNY think most will be a step down, but if it helps convince DH he's not spending so much its not a problem;) We're hoping we can find an undubbed Asterix movie - we'd rather listen to the French (and read subtitles for those not quick enough) than have awful overdubbing.DS(12) has been pestering us to go since his cousins went a couple of years ago.

Expedia keep coming up "no rooms available" - do you think they are really full:headache: of just sold all the expedia rooms?:confused3

For which hotel ? I normally book through hotel web sites rather than Expedia, Hotel.com and co as the hotels price match
