Has anyone scored a good price on airfare out of Dulles or National to MCO lately? Our trip is not until Jan, but I'd love to know what prices have been paid recently so I can have something to shoot for. TIA!

Well, depending on your dates, JetBlue is currently about $84 + tax. So about $95 one way. You might be able to find a lower price, but make sure you're comparing apples to apples since JB does not charge for your first bag or for seat assignments.

Make sure the Jet Blue flight is non-stop. Sometimes they route you through Boston or JFK.

Yes, and in this case the direct flights are cheaper than connecting. The $84 flights are direct.

Very nice price! I'll keep that in mind when we go next year. Dulles is not too far to drive to save some money.

I paid $74 each way over Memorial Day weekend and $59 each way in January on Jetblue from Dulles. I haven't seen the $59 fares in awhile though :sad1:

I had about the same price on Southwest for a January trip from BWI though - about 18 months ago - think it was $79 for most of the trip legs for everyone - that's each way. I'm assuming that $84 price quoted was each way, not RT.

Yes, $84 is each way. With taxes it is about $94 each way. Also, if you "like" JetBlue on FaceBook, they occassionally send out coupon codes.

Between DCA, Dullas, and BWI, there are plenty of flights available. I've actually found that Kayak is nice just because I can compare the pricing for all 3 airports at once by just picking Washington as my departing city. Unfortunately, most individual airline sites require picking a single airport which can be annoying when the airline flys out of several of them.

Now... In May I got a non-stop RT on Delta from DCA to MCO for $189 (including taxes).

And I just paid about a month ago about $275 for a RT in November on Southwest from BWI to MCO (nonstop).

Since my May purchase however, I know flight prices have gone up across the board for most flights.

Here's a little tip: when searching on travel sites, use airport code WAS. That will search all washington airports.

You are so clever. Although I only fly from BWI because I'm picky like that, but excellent tip.

Jet Blue's prices out of Dulles to MCO are usually cheapest on Tuesdays/Wednesdays.

Right now, for the end of January, the prices for a Thursday to Monday trip are $166 round trip(including taxes and fees) per person for Jet Blue.

For our Sept. 2010 trip, we paid less then $100 roundtrip(inc. tax and tip) per person. I haven't seen that price since then.

I just bought my January airfare from Dulles to MCO for $69 each way. They just recently adjusted their schedules for Jan/Feb, but the times work for me. The day I was coming home there were 2 non-stops, but now there's only one.

Just wanted to mention that my fare dropped to $60 this week and I got a credit!

We priced out fares this past Monday for mid-December and Jet Blue/Dulles and Southwest/BWI were about even: $184 for JB and $186 for SW. Given that we could choose our seats and get direct flights, we chose Jet Blue. Tickets were definitely cheaper for Tuesdays on Jet Blue and we don't mind Dulles even though getting there can be a problem if I-495 is clogged up.

Delta was cheaper for our dates but only flies out of Reagan and 1) we will NOT fly in or out of that airport for any reason and 2) even if we did fly out of that airport you cannot long-term park a car so must add airport shuttle for $30 or more a person.
