Hi My family of 4 , will fly out of Buffalo to WDW in March. On my way back, my flight is late ....arrived at Buffalo at airport at 10:15pm...so by the time i get to my car in parking lot, it will be almost 11:30pm.

It will bit of challenge for me and my wife....after a week-long disney trip , to drive 2 hours at night.

I imagine traffic from airport to Toronto will be smooth near midnight(hopefully no crazy drivers on hwy..)

What about the canada custom ? Smooth at the bridge ?

Did you anyone do that around that time frame?
Thx

If you flight lands at 10:15 you will probably be in Hamilton at 11:30pm. Have you ever flown into BUF before. I would expect to be on the road by about 10:45 and probably a 1 min wait at the border.

We've frequently come in on that late SW flight and get into Burlington around midnight.

We always drive home late from Buffalo. We have our best luck going over the Rainbow Bridge late at night.....usually no wait.

But once last August, we headed over to the Queenston Lewiston crossing. Huge mistake!!!! We got there at 11:30pm and did not cross until 2am!!! :scared1: They were down to one lane.

My advise is to check wait times at border crossings as soon as you get in your car. :goodvibes

We always get a hotel room for that night and come home the next day after hotel breakfast...... we stop and buy groceries in Buffalo before crossing- that way don't have to come home to a cold dark house with no food in it.....

Peace bridge in Fort Erie is quick and easy to cross and only about 10-15 minutes from airport - we have never had a wait that late at night. QEW starts at Fort Erie so no streets/traffic lights, etc., just head straight for Toronto from border. I prefer late arrivals from our vacations as there is no stress of traffic to deal with. Have a safe and fun trip!

I agree with the pp that gets a hotel room for the night, we had a flight earlier then yours and came into a snow storm, we landed in Buffalo around 530 and it was in January 2 years ago, It took us almost 4 hours to get to Hamilton and we ended up a little lost with the snow and all. NEVER again will I do that. if its a winter trip I will make sure we stay overnight and head home in the morning from Buffalo. We did that in march last year and it was great, the weather is so unpredictable during these months and it s well worth the cost or hassle of booking a room for the night and starting out fresh first thing in the morning, only took once for me to learn!:scared:

Either get room (I recommend Sleep Inn next to the airport, and you can do a reverse park 'n fly rate, park first then stay the night at the end of the trip) or cross at Fort Erie on the way home. Usually never a wait on the Canadian side at that time of night.
