From Animal Kingdom to Epcot in September?

Hi everyone,

I'm planning the last details of our September 18th-24th Disney World trip and this forum has helped me a lot -- and I promise to "pay it back" with reviews and photos when we're back in October (Disney is part of a longer trip).

On September 23rd, we'll be in Animal Kingdom and have dinner reservations for the San Angel Inn at 5:45pm. When should we plan on leaving Animal Kingdom to get there on time? I assume there's a monorail or bus that we'll have to take plus a 10-15 minute walk from the entrance of Epcot to the restaurant.

I know this is a quiet time of year for the parks, so I hope we can plan on 45 minutes or so, but I'll appreciate your advice.

I would leave about 4:45 and take the bus to BC and then walk (5 min)from there to the International Gate Way that will put you right in WS.

I don't know about recently but when I went last September there was a bus that went from the AK to each of the parks.

There is a bus from AK straight to Epcot, it usually runs every 20 mins or so, and then figure a 20 minute ride time, plus your 15-20 minute walk to get to the restaurant. I'd allow an hour, maybe 1:15 to get there. (allowing more time will let you not feel rushed)

If there are time issues, I also recommend walking from the Beach Club to the International Gateway.

By the time you stop at YC first, then get to BC, then walk through the resort to the walkway to Epcot, then half way around the WS to Mexico it would probably be about the same time as taking the bus directly to Epcot, so it's really just your personal choice.

I agree I would allow an hour or so to do it. If you've never been to BC or the International Gateway, do that. It's a totally different feeling to entering Epcot.

I appreciate the tips! We'll start heading out of AK an hour and 10-15 min's ahead of time and either go directly to Epcot or take the scenic route via BC. Thanks a LOT.
