I am thinking about taking Amtrak for my next visit. What would the best stop to get off at, and what would the best/easiest/cheapest way to get to one of the value resorts (probably the All Stars)? Thanks. Any help would be great!

We like getting off at the Kissimmee station, smaller terminal, less people and congestion and could be closer to WDW than the Orlando station. We've seen just about the whole train get off in Orlando, turning that station into chaos, people looking for rides, rental cars luggage but Kissimmee only about 10 people seem to get off making securing a ride easier. Probably the cheapest way would be a cab, 6 years ago we used a cab from Kissimmee and the fare was 38 dollars, prices and rates have gone up. The next year we used a car service with free grocery stop and paid 88 dollars round trip. That was not bad considering the car would run us 76 dollars and no groceries. Now that was 6 years ago and we still use the same company every year and the rates are now 120 Dollars round trip, not sure of the cab fares now a days but the grocery stop is a must for us, real money saver, we like home made sandwiches at the pool. There might be a Mears bus service from the Orlando station but since we never detrain there, others may help you out on rates, also Orlando has car rental places and Kissimmee doesn't. Hope this helps you out.
