From America To DLP the big FAQ Thread- See First Post

A couple of questions for the experts in the group and the answers might be good for the sticky. We'll be staying in Disney's Sequoia Lodge in July.
  • Are all park tickets similar to US park hoppers?
  • What time is check-in time at the hotels?
  • We'll be arriving via train after a week in Paris. We will traveling using Navigo Découverte and coming from Gare Montparnasse. Do I understand correctly that we can use the Disney Express service when we arrive at Marne-la-Vallée / Chessy Parcs Disneyland?
  • What are the "free" Disneyland Paris hotel breakfasts like? I'm guessing typical continental...but what types of items do they include?
Thank you!

A couple of questions for the experts in the group and the answers might be good for the sticky. We'll be staying in Disney's Sequoia Lodge in July.
  • Are all park tickets similar to US park hoppers?
The tickets you get with a hotel package are park hoppers
  • What time is check-in time at the hotels?
You can check in any time you want but probably won't be able to get into your room until after 3pm. As the packages include a park ticket for the day of arrival you can check in, collect your tickets and head to the parks as soon as you want to - if you arrive before 10 you can even take advantage of EMH for that day.
  • We'll be arriving via train after a week in Paris. We will traveling using Navigo Découverte and coming from Gare Montparnasse. Do I understand correctly that we can use the Disney Express service when we arrive at Marne-la-Vallée / Chessy Parcs Disneyland?
I think the Disney Express service (where they take your bags to the hotels and give you your park tickets at the station so you can head straight to the parks) is only available when arriving by Eurostar. Someone will correct me if Im wrong though
  • What are the "free" Disneyland Paris hotel breakfasts like? I'm guessing typical continental...but what types of items do they include?
The breakfasts vary depending on which hotel you are in but as you said you are in S Lodge you will get a buffet breakfast consisting of-

cereals
bread and pastries such as croissants/pain au chocolat
cheese, ham and other cold meats
fresh fruit
yoghurts
jams
hot and cold drinks (tea coffee chocolate, fruit juices)

If you are staying in Golden Forrest rooms you also get hot items included - bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs etc

Thank you!

  • Are all park tickets similar to US park hoppers?
Yes, the tickets are the same. Its a paper ticket which you feed into the turnstile or scan at the turnstile. Its the same system as California, same with the Fastpasses. You put your ticket into the fastpass machine and it spits out your fast pass ticket. As you are staying at Sequoia Lodge, you will also get a Hotel Easy Pass. This has your hotel name, your name, arrival date, check out date. You use this to access EMH and for Sequoia Lodge, you need it to access the swimming pool.

  • What time is check-in time at the hotels?
Official check in time is 3pm. You can arrive earlier but your room may not be available. If you arrive earlier, you just check in, get your park tickets and meal vouchers if you have booked a dining plan. You then put your bags in the luggage store and go to the parks. In the afternoon, one member of your party just has to go back to get your room keys

  • What are the "free" Disneyland Paris hotel breakfasts like? I'm guessing typical continental...but what types of items do they include?

The breakfast at Sequoia Lodge is
Selection of sliced meet and cheese
selection of fruit and yoghurt's
Cereals
bread for toasting
selection of pastries
tea, coffee and fruit juices

Prior to my stay, we'll be in Paris for a few days. When going from the center of Paris to DLP, I've thought of 3 methods...Trains, Taxi or Uber. Anyone know about what the costs of each would be? I'm leaning towards Taxi or Uber, as I figure that would be easier with luggage. I don't mind paying a bit more for those options, but don't want to spend a ridiculous amount. Another thought was to just rent a car and drive there, but that would probably be a bit excessive, even with the free parking at Disney. Thoughts?
