Hi guys! As I excitedly count down my hours to leaving....I am wondering how hard it is to get to VB from the Alamo rental place near the airport in Orlando. Has anyone had experience with this? If so, PLEASE post and I would be forever grateful!!! What is the easiest route? Thanks...going to finish packing now...YAH!!!! :D

Leaving in 1.5 days...

I have no idea where the Alamo rental is but all you need to do is get on the Beeline East (528) and head to the coast until you connect with I-95 South. You stay on 95 to Exit 69 Fellsmere Road and stay on that to U.S. 1 Take US1 to 510 East to A1A -- turn right and the resort is on your left. Roughly 1 1/2 hours from the airport (can sometimes be done in less).

We followed the exact route that Pam just gave. It was a very easy drive!

We recently rented at Alamo when we went to WDW. We waited almost an hour to rent our car. If you use a coupon make sure they take at check in or else they will overcharge you. The fastest way to rent from Alamo is to utilize their direct check in. Where you register everything on-line. That check in was maybe 15 minutes tops.

Also, if you a Disney Club member, National gives a discount and they are on airport property. They also have the Emerald Club where all you do is give them your credit card and drive away and skip the counter. Unless you have coupons.

When we visited WDW I inquired about getting to VB. They told me to take 95 to Sebastian Inlet and that it would take a little over an hour that. Good luck.

Hi,
We just got back from VB rented a Ford Expedition from Budget sits up high giving a good view. We got in around 10am so had lots of time before checking in so we took the Bee line over to the Kennedy space center, then took A1A down the coast to VB it was a real nice ride with a lot of places to eat.

prncssjas It's not complicated at all....especially after your first time. Going from 95 to US 1 you pass through kind of a depressed area where you may think you've taken a wrong turn. It's amazing how fast you are out of this poverty stricken area and into the million dollar homes!
