Hello DISers!

I bought a few Frogg Toggs for an upcoming trip (not Disney, though). I tried out one so I had a general idea of the size, what it felt like, etc. I noticed when it dries, it gets stiff as cardboard. Do you put it back in its container while damp? Will it get mildewy? Or do you fold/roll it up, let it dry and then store it away?

Thanks!!

I just tried mine for the first time yesterday to see if it was going to work for our trip. I wet it and then decided to let it air dry before I put it in a ziplock bag. I was afraid it would mildew if I didn't let it dry.

We keep ours in a gallon sized ziplock, wet, in the fridge.

Living in FL we use them on a regular basis between sports, outside events, etc so I know this method wouldn't necessarly work for someone who only uses them a couple of months each summer.

I was thinking of that but it's just so big (I haven't cut it in half yet, although I plan to do so). I just don't know how to store after it has dried and become stuff. I guess I could try to roll it .

I'm pretty sure that they become very brittle when dry & will break if you try to bend/roll them.

Maybe roll it & let it dry rolled up so that you can easily re-wet the whole thing when you are ready to re-use it?

Thank you for the idea! I have to re-wet it bc right now its a stiff, crumpled mess!!

You store it in the original container ( if you kept that ) and damp Working on over 2 years with mine and has not mildewed And for extra savings cut it length wise and share :thumbsup2

The instructions on the package tell you to store it damp and not let it dry out.

Store it damp, rolled up in original container. We have had ours about 3 years and they have never mildewed. I have washed it in the washer after one of our 2 week trips. They didn't smell so good by the time we got home. I just pulled them out of the washer, rolled them up and stuck them in the tube.

I made the mistake of leaving mine out to dry. It was hard as a rock. Since then I have stored it damp in the original container in the fridge. It doesn't smell and is always ready to go when we need it.

When wet I fold mine in thirds and let it dry by laying it flat. Once dry I slip it into a ziplock bag.
