I have a really bad question lol, and I wasnt sure where to post it. I am going to be in Disney when the humidity is very high. On nights when we are going to nicer restaurants I would like to be able to do my hair instead of throwing it up in a ponytail. Has anyone come across any products that have helped fight frizz even in the Florida humidity? thank you!

impossible. almost.

theres a new line of products called sunsilk. also try garnier fructis. another option may be ironing it? sounds like too much work to me and not guaranteed! I say PONYTAIL :thumbsup2

I dont have curly hair but my hair will frizz and I like the garnier fructis line. I am interested in the new sunsilk tho.. Also I know someone who has naturally curly hair and swears by biosilk you can get it at salons but I also saw it at Target in the specialty hair care isle.

I live in New Orleans and frizzy hair is a way of life for me from May through October. I don't have curly hair, but it is slightly wavy - enough to make it frizz. I've sometimes use John Frieda Frizz-Ease serum and it helps some. The "Frizz-Ease" has a whole line of products but I've only used the serum.

LOL. I love your Question....I Live with this problem about 90% of the year....I have curly hair and its not fun with this humidity... I swear by the Garnier fruitis products and they just came out with a leave in conditioner that works wonders. Also the brand Frizz Ease is a great product, the Serum works great, I have also tried the Gel and the Mouse and it works miracles on my hair Just a couple of drops....Everyone who I know that has the Frizzy Hair problem uses it, and thats pretty much all my friends.....Enjoy your evening..... :wizard:

have you tried the frizz ease serum i use it and put alot and it controls my hair

I was sold on the garnier fructis shampoo/conditioner combo, until I was sent a new smooth and sleek shampoo/conditioner to try for one of the test/opinion panels. I may never use anything else! It's the Pantene Smooth and Sleek (green design/lid). Be sure to use BOTH shampoo and conditioner together. I love it. I admit that I live in a dry climate, but I'll be taking it with me next month to WDW. :goodvibes

I work in a beauty supply store so I feel like i have tried everything and nothing works. I have not tried Garnier Fructis yet though and it seems to be popular so I will deffinitly give that a shot! Thanks so much for all of the replys!

Nothing works for me and I have just basically given up on trying. Remember that episode of Friends when Monica's hair just kept getting bigger and bigger? That's what I look like in humidity. Good luck!

I too have frizzy hair syndrome! I use a combination of the John Frieda hair products, first the Frizz-Ease Extra Strength Hair Serum, followed by the Wind-Down Extra Strength Relaxer. These, in combination, work really well - so much so that I'm considering trying the shampoo too! Good luck finding what will work for you!

   Nothing works on my hair either. I bought a straightening iron last year, it worked wonders(with a lot of hair product added) No frizz at all. My hair usually gets so bad in FL. sometimes I scare my own husband!!!

OMG, that's me too! The ONLY thing that has worked for me in Florida is using my daughter's CHI flat iron. I took it with me on my trip to Sarasota in April and we had it with us in WDW in June. It worked pretty good unless, of course, you go on Splash Mountain and get soaked!!! :sad2:

I just keep my hair pulled up in a ponytail the whole time i am there. I don't even bother trying to control it.

There is a product called Sexy Straight. I swear it is the best thing I have ever used. It works even when it is humid. You use a small amount before you blow dry your hair and then you use some after it is dry. It works better than anything I have ever used and I used to be a hairdresser so I have a bit of a product obsession :teeth:

I chemically straightened mine right before I went to the beach last year, and it was wonderful. Be sure to go to a salon to have it done. I did it myself once and half my hair broke off.

I swear by Sleek Look by Matrix. I use the shampoo, conditioner, then the leave in conditioner. I think the true thought with this product is to straighten out your hair...however...mine is very curly. When I apply this..I get the sleek, somewhat wavy curl..very tame...very pin up 40's kind of look to it. It turns out great! You will only find this in salons (or at least here its only in salons)

Also, try the spray on mousse made by Texture (comes in a big white can with black lettering). I swear by this stuff! Its great. It softly controls my curls...and its not stiff...but it won't frizz either. (also sold in salons)

curly girl...

I have found Bed Head's Control Freak to be the best thing. I live in Florida about half of the year and my hair is thick and straight, but gets really really frizzy. Control Freak works great at keeping the frizz away without weighing your hair down or making it greasy.

i tried the texture spray mousee, it gives my hair too much volume (i have very thick hair)! Did you use the Bed head control freak spray or serum? I have the serum but I have never tried the spray
