I'm an avid Dreamcast gamer. Gamecube too, to a lesser extent and every now and then an Xbox One. Never anything else. BUT. I'm desperately tempted to get a MegaDrive and a Saturn, decked out with SegaCD and 32X (all Mk. 1) and perhaps a second Saturn, white. Just to have a range of Sega consoles. I'd probably never use them, I just want them. Am I dysfunctional?

Oh man, I always say I am goign to beef up my Sega colleciton. I have a Genesis model one and two. I'd love to have a Model 1 with the model 1 CD AND a model 2 + CD & 32X - just for the sake of hacing them. I have a great Nintendo collection, but my Sega game is lacking.

Addictive, isn't it? And the thing is, they're not making any new ones, so if you have one in good condition, it's a cash cow. In theory. Gold is too, but it fluctuates more in the market, silver even more so.

Yeah, and it's not like I need them. I wouldn't play them much. Honestly Sega CD has only a few good games, and 32X, like, what one? I can and do play the Genesis sometimes or at least Genesis games. Still I am fascinate dby video game hardware in general and sometimes really want to get some more Sega stuff, or like Atari 8-bit computers or something.

Take this advice from someone who stood an hour in line for a popcorn bucket that I will NOT sell on eBay: there is always someone more frivolous than you! Do what makes you happy.

One year I used my Christmas gift money and bought myself the SF Giants Dooney & Burke purse. I love using it as soon as Spring Training starts every year.

I went on a solo trip to WDW in 2006, and determined that I was going to buy a pin for every attraction I went on, and also pins shaped like the Mickey head logo. I was not a pin collector then, and am not a pin collector now. Don't know why it became so important to me that trip, but I bought something like two dozen pins *at least,* it might be more. I usually have my sister with me, who is a very sensible person who will say, "what do you need that for?" and reign me in but this trip I had nobody to stop me. I just bought them and bought them, and now they're in a tin on my bookcase. I don't even display them. I'd actually like to sell them, because I'm sure there are some rare ones in the pile.

This is one of the reasons why shortly afterwards my money was put in charge of a representative payee. I will spend like a billionaire without someone to dole it out on the basis of what I want it for.
