Friendship?

I thought I saw someone (Carrie?) that said you "rented" a Friendship boat to take people to/from the Boardwalk? I am now considering a dinner reception at the ADH, followed by DP in EPCOT, taking the Friendship. Was there a cost?? How many people does it seat?

We were going to use the friendship boat as transportation from Boardwalk in to Epcot for our ceremony (bridal party only).
Cost in our BEO is $250.

The boats hold a lot of people - 60 maybe? cant remember that part off the top of my head.

EDITED to add - we were able to do this because it was before the park opened. Our planner made it seem like it would not normally be an option once Epcot opened for the day.

I think they stop running the boats around the world showcase once they move the barges in for Illuminations... it can't hurt to ask but I wouldn't be surprised if they say no. However, you can probably rent a Friendship boat to take your guests back to Boardwalk AFTER the DP

Everybody's already answered your question, but yes, we used a Friendship boat to transport our guests from the ceremony in Morocco to the reception at the BoardWalk Inn. However, Epcot won't allow you to use the boats while the park is open. It would be great if they let you do it after the DP, though - what a way to end the day!

We were also able to use a Friendship boat for our wedding to transport our guests from the Yacht Club to MGM Studios. It was amazing and fun - we even had the violinist come along and play on the boat. It took a while to be confirmed by DFTW - just fyi as we had to practice patience.
