Friendship boats in EpCot

Do they provide transportation both ways? Trying for dinner at Biergarten in Germany and wondering how to fit itinerary. Thanks

They do go both ways, but they're not exactly the fastest way across unless you happen to hit them just right.

Also, note that WDW apparently is considering doing away with them.
