Friendship Boats and ECVs

Wow! I guess I was lucky!
But regarding ECVs and the boats from WL, I wonder if it would make WL less desirable for people with ECVs to stay since some of the transportation will take longer.

Not for me! LOL

I love WL so much - I don't care about the boats. And y'all *know* how much I love to ride the boats, especially up and down the Sassagoula, to and from Disney Springs!

But seriously, we just go to the docks at WL, and wait for the boat I need to show up!

We do ride the bus from WL to the Fort typically - but that's because we can't wait to get over to Trails End!

I didn't know there was a bus between the resorts. Seems like a better option.

the in-park ECV rentals cannot go on the Friendship boats that cross the lagoon within EPCOT (between countries).

I've been on these boats with my mom while she was on a in park rental.

If you have to wait for the next boat from Wilderness Lodge to Magic Kingdom because you have an ECV, how long is the wait typically?

Do they run busses from Wilderness Lodge to MK?

Also what’s the best strategy for getting between the Poly and Wilderness Lodge if you have an ECV?

i’m really interested in staying at WL, but my fiance uses an ECV and the limited accessible boat options concern me.

I'm not sure of the wait time for the second boat. But they do/did run busses from the WL to the MK. As a wheelchair user I often just used the bus to get to the MK.

I used an ecv and stayed at WL. The wait wasn’t too long. I don’t remember exactly how long as it was almost 5 years ago.

If you have to wait for the next boat, it *averages* about 20 to 30 minutes, but know that we have seen them anywhere from 10 minutes to 45 minutes also, so...

... Yes, there *are* buses from WL to MK - and during our last trip, we actually stopped at CR once on the way to MK; there was a Guest who boarded there and made the (very short) trip to MK with us!

From WL to Poly is actually pretty easy - you can either "hub" from any of the Parks (so take the first bus to any Park or Disney Springs, and then just switch to a Poly bus) or you can go to MK and grab a Monorail, or a boat - provided that your fiance' can (A) make the step down into the boat and (B) has a device that can fold and be carried on board and held.

You can also call a Minnie Van. Or, you can take the Ferry Boat over to TTC, and walk/roll to Poly.
