Friends visiting us at resort - parking question

We have friends coming to visit us during our stay at the Poly and they will have a car. Would they be able to park at the resort by giving the guard our room number? We aren't dining there so that isn't an option to get around this.

We’re renting DVC points and we will not have a car if that makes any difference at all with the parking situation. They have an AP so they could always park at TTC and walk over, and I know Uber is an option and all of that, but parking at the Poly is easiest so I figured I'd see if it could be done!

The guard may or may not let them in. If they are denied they could park at the TTC and walk over.

We have family meet us quite often (including the Poly). They just need to tell the guard your name and room number.
