Friend's trip report scared me...

susy's plan is what I recommend all the time. Speaking for the MK, the 15th-22nd will be soft attendance wise. The weekend will be busy as will Tuesday night for 2100 Spectro. Place yourself near the train station for 2200 Wishes and be one of the first to leave.

I'm curious - did your friend say whether she had a good time or not? For some people, doing some activity for the morning and then lounging around the afternoon and evening is a perfect vacation. I can't do it, I get stir crazy. My sister does it though and thinks I'm crazy. To each their own.

I'd just like to thank everyone for their support and encouragement.

You've all really helped calm my fears.

I'm not sure my friend enjoyed her trip or not. I guess she did, because she had nothing but raves to say about the Poly and the Luau - probably because she spent so much time there!

But she did sound disappointed about the crowds and such. I declined to make the "what were you thinking?" comment and just "uh-huh"'d.

Wish us luck!

7 days and counting!

We just got back from 2 days at WDW. The crowds were not bad. We did MK on Saturday, from opening until 2 PM, and went on everything we wanted, using basic strategy and fastpass. We didn't wait more than 5 minutes for anything. We went to Epcot Saturday evening, arriving after 5 PM, and were able to fastpass Mission Space for a half hour later, and then we were able to fastpass Test Track. (Fastpasses are usually gone when we arrive in the late afternoon, so this was a surprise.)

We went to AK on Sunday. We went to DinoLand first, because DS was begging to go to the Boneyard. After that, we walked onto Triceratop Spin and Primeval Whirl with no wait. (DinoLand was empty, probably because Dinosaur was closed.) Then headed over to FOLK, and walked in right as the show was starting, without ever standing in line. After that we had an early lunch at Pizzafari, and then headed over to Africa. This was the one place we encountered crowds that were a little uncomfortable for us, but we expected that because we were there at noon. We grabbed fastpasses for the safari, and went on the train to Rafiki's Planet Watch. When we went back to KS to use our fastpasses, the fastpass line was longer than we had ever seen it, but almost immediately, DS announced he had to go to the bathroom, so we left. DH really wanted to go on KS, so after DS went to the bathroom, we returned and discovered the fastpass line was very short. Ten minutes can make a big difference.

We didn't go to Disney Studios this time, but I would guess it wasn't too crowded either.

Hope you have a great trip!
