The Cast:
Brenda (me), 34 and ususally go to Disney every year. I skipped 2004 because I opened a new business, but had serious Disney withdrawals. I'm a hairdresser and original plan for this trip was to go to a class to learn how to do extensions.

Cristina, 25, my friend (who is also a hairdresser), who has never been to Disney. And I'm so excited because I get to show her what's what!

Today, we started out at Animal Kingdom, I've never been when it first opened and that's quite a cute little show they put on in front of the Tree of Life.
We first head over to Dinosaur. Cristina screams her head off when that last dinosaur comes out at you. It was so fun! We then head over to Primevil Whirl. I really don't like this one, its too hard on the back, but Cristina is determined to ride every roller coaster there is, so on we go. So far so good, both rides are pretty much just walk ons, hardly any wait. After primevil whirl, we need to use the rest room. As we are washing our hands, Cristina reads the sign on the hand dryer. It says, "feel the power". So it comes on and just about blows her out of the way. The air comes out so strong, lol. We are laughing so hard at this :rotfl2: and all day long I kept telling her she was given the "power". So, that was a continuning joke as our vacation went on...I guess you'd have to be there :rotfl: .
We then walked right on into "It's tough to be a bug". Cristina has never seen a 3d show before and absolutely loved it. She loved the bugs crawling under the seat. We then head over to kilimanjaro Safari's. There is a 30 minute wait, so we get Fast Passes and then head to Kali River Rapids. This is the first time I've brought ponchos and didn't walk off completely drenched. We still have some time before KS so we go on the jungle trek. The Tigers were so pretty and funny. Laying with all four paws up in the air. Cute :goodvibes I of course do skip the bats :crazy2: They just gross me out. Then onto KS, most of the animals were pretty far away, although we did get pretty close to the giraffe and rhino's.
Then we are off to lunch at a sandwich place in Downtown Disney. I think it was called Earl's??? It was ok,not great, but ok. Then we go to MGM. I have Fantasmic reservations at Mama Melroses tonight, so we want to do a few things here. We get fast passes for Tower of Terror, and wait in line for RNR. This is my favorite ride at MGM. I so love this coaster, its a blast. I of course don't let Cristina know much about it, so I let her be surprised. She screamed so loud her voice was pretty raspy the rest of the day :rotfl2: We still have time before TOT, so we get an ice cream and wait for our time (only like 9 minutes), then onto TOT, what a ride, Cristina loves it and I'm thinking she's not going to have much of a voice at all pretty soon. We then head over to the animation tour, and then to WWTBAM, we get in line and are handed the little green cards so we got to sit in the Fastest Finger section! A little boy got into the hot seat, and his dad got to come down and help him. His dad had already been in the hot seat before because the host recognized him. And his dad wouldn't get off the phone during the game. Geez. Anyhow, he won some pins and a hat, so he was pretty excited. And then another lady got in and I think won just about the same thing. That was fun. We did the backlot tour and then it started pouring :umbrella: We were completely drenched. We walked around a bit more and went to Mama Melrose's to see if we could get in early. The food there was pretty good, very yummy. We then walked around a bit more, did RNR again and then headed over to see Fantasmic. While sitting there it started raining again and these annoucements kept coming on saying do to inclement weather, Fantasmic could be postponed or canceled. After about 45 minutes of waiting in the wet, we just decided to give up and head out :sad2: I really wanted her to see Fantasmic. We figured they would probably cancel it anyway. So we headed back to the Sheraton and watched tv. I love the show Tru Calling, so I stayed up and watched that.
End of day 2 :flower:
Next day 3 or "Brenda, I don't know how much more walking I can take!"

I'm enjoying your report! I love being able to take someone along that has never experienced a Disney trip before! I love watching their reactions to things!
