FRIENDS, PHOTOGRAPHS, and Birthday FUN! 3/3 30 Day Photo Challenge Day 21

I love this shot... and know all to well what it is like to have kids that dont' want to pose and wait hahaha.... I have 4 that hate my camera lol.... they have PCS.... (photogrpahers child syndrome lol)

Okay, I'm loving Karen's idea to share some of our favorite photos and also shots we didn't get that we want. :goodvibes

My family LOVED MK and we spent A LOT of time in this park, riding every ride and visiting every attraction that we wanted to, enjoying lots of tasty treats, meeting characters, and partying it up at MNSSHP. But with SO much going on I didn't get all of the pictures I really wanted. I have a list of shots I want involving Cinderella's castle. Before I share those I'll show you one of my favorites with the castle in the background that I already have...

I love this shot and knew I wanted it months before we went on our trip. However when we were actually at WDW my kids really didn't want to take the time pose for the shot and as a result I didn't get the composition or exposure exactly like I wanted. I obviously won't be able to try again with this shot since I'll be sans kiddos ( :woohoo: ) but I have a few other castle shots in mind that I want. A few of those are:
  • Walt and Mickey with the castle in the background. I got Walt and Mickey last time but not with the castle also in the shot.
  • balloons on MS with the castle in the background.
  • A shot of Prince Charming's Carrousel through the castle archway at night
  • I'd even like some of my 'food porn' shots to be a little more artistic. I've seen shots of ice cream held up with the castle in the background. :lovestruc

Those are just a few of my dream shots on MS. I'll share another pic from somewhere else in the park later along with more shots from my wish list. For our non-photog readers this may have just turned into the most boring PTR ever. :rotfl:

PCS :lmao::lmao::lmao:

And thanks, even though it wasn't *exactly* right it's still one of my favorite shots from the trip and I just got a copy of it to hang on the wall in the living room. It's great on a bad day to have that reminder of the magic we had at Disney. pixiedust:

It took me some time to get these pics uploaded so I'm sure some of you have already read about our latest Disney day on Karen's PTR. For those who did... bear with me, for those who haven't, here's the sitch...

If you haven't seen the show or movies you may not have picked up on that little hint above but our latest Disney day was Kim Possible.

Karen lives in a small town and we took full advantage of that. We sent the girls off on a mission around this very small, very safe town...

It was a bit drizzly but our spies are pros and they didn't let that deter them. They grabbed jackets and an umbrella and were ready to go. The paper they're holding is their first assignment on a mission to save the world. It reads: Kya & Savannah, get ready for an international adventure! You are on a mission to save the world. Shego will not stop until she destroys world peace! go to studio K hair salon where shego was last spotted. Take a picture of the sign and send it back to headquarters for your next assignment!

Shego was a worthy foe and led them to several places around town. Since we were at headquarters we didn't get pics of these missions but I thought I'd share one of my kids with their Kimmunicator at Epcot...

We handled our missions pretty much the same way, texting them info to Savannah's phone *ahem* Kimmunicator and having them use it to gather evidence and send it back to headquarters. These missions included: the grocery store where they had to look for Shego where she was spotted among the soy sauce (presumably preparing for a villainous trip to China), while at the grocery store our spies also bought supplies- food and drink to keep up their strength and spy supplies from the quarter machines, then on to the thrift store to look for disguises, and finally they headed to the post office where Shego was spotted mailing a letter to one of her allies. Finally they had her cornered... right at headquarters!

We had the table set up and ready for their return and as you can see Shego was right in the middle of it!

I hope you can forgive the melodrama in my telling of the day but it was just so much fun! Putting the mission together was a blast and so was setting up the table. We had a shower curtain map table cloth, postcards and ticket stubs from all over the world, and TOP SECRET files...

We had a bomb cake...
20110502_32.jpg

Of course our spies need passports...
20110502_38.jpg

We had spy gear including binoculars, a magnifying glass and sunglasses...
20110502_40.jpg

Good spies need top secret cell phones to communicate with Wade...
20110502_46.jpg

Spy notebooks are also top priority (along with the coolest naked mole rat ever, Rufus)...

And, just like Kim and Ron, our spies would be hungry for some nachos and quesadillas from Bueno Nacho after their mission...

Our spy girls were so good they had another mission when they got home... a game of "Where in the US is Carmen Sandiego" where they chased Carmen and her evil henchmen down. Busy day for these spies! ;) This day was a huge hit. On the way home Kya told me it was the best day we'd done this year and a tie with Pirates for the best day overall. :goodvibes (Although she said for Savannah our Mad Tea Party was still her favorite- this one being a close second.) It must have left an impression because Kya was still playing spy with Jace last night and with Leslee when we were at her house today. :cutie:

We already have another day in the works... usually Karen and I decide but the yesterday the girls were throwing out lots of ideas so we had them write them down (using their new TOP SECRET spy notebooks of course) and put them in a bowl to draw out the next theme... you'll have to stay tuned to see what they came up with! :thumbsup2

I saw some pictures in Karen's PTR. What an awesome idea!!! It looks like SO much fun!
