(Still) Monday 4th November
We caught the train back and wandered back through Asia, heading back towards Expedition Everest for another ride with FPs we had got earlier in the day. But first we had to have some Photopass pictures taken. The one with the frame would have been a great family photo had somebody not been trying to be a comedian.

We also spotted Devine.

After Everest, we decided it was time for lunch. Not being particularly hungry after a big breakfast, we shared a couple of portions of French fries from Yak & Yeti local café. Sian didnt want fries so chose the Asian chicken sandwich.

Next, we headed into Dinoland, where we rode both Primeval Whirl (or Primeval Hurl, as we like to call it) and Dinosaur, both with minimal wait of less than 10 minutes.
Daniel really wanted to see Pluto so we joined the huge line. One of the CMs was getting a little frustrated with a woman in front of me who had insisted on bringing her buggy into the line with her and was pretending to either not hear or not understand the CM every time she asked her to take the buggy out of the line. Eventually the message got through and the lady acquiesced and allowed the CM to move the buggy. This was the longest wait we had all day but just seeing Daniels face when he finally got to see Pluto was worth every second waiting. I love that he still gets excited at his favourites, even at nearly 11.

Moving on, we went in search of liquid refreshment and it came in the shape of this little beauty. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the Frozen Blueberry-Mango Rum Lemonade.

This was delicious, very fruity and refreshing and really hit the spot. I am guessing the shot of rum is added to the pre-mixed frozen drink since there wasnt much of an alcohol hit until we got towards the end of the drink. I assume the shot floated on the top and only really got mixed in at the end. I wasnt complaining though and it certainly helped pass the time while we waited to see the characters from Up.

Dug apparently gestured that he wanted us to do the Wilderness Explorer Call. Im not convinced myself, I think the CM was just trying to encourage me to make myself look stupid. Luckily for her, Id just drunk the dregs of the Blueberry-Mango Rum Lemonade and was totally up for it.

We decided to head back round to see the Flights of Wonder show. The signs for Africa were pretty boring, we all thought.

The show was great another thing we had never seen. What have we been doing at Animal Kingdom on our past trips? Unfortunately, we were seated way off to the side and I didnt get any good photos.
We decided that we would head back to the hotel after the show, so made our way to the front of the park. We just caught the parade as we were fighting our way against the crowds, to the entrance.

Back at the Swan, we spent some time chilling before getting showered and changed to go out for dinner. We had already decided we would try some new places on this trip so tonight we were off to a place on International Drive, called the Brick House Tavern and Tap.
It wasnt particularly early but the place was quite empty and I began to wonder if wed made a mistake coming here. Obviously, we were seated straight away and we ordered drinks. I dont have a picture but Im fairly sure I had a Cosmopolitan here.
We ordered food everything looked so good and the menu was pretty diverse but we eventually settled on.
Sian Fried Chicken Sandwich

Gary Chicken Fried Steak

Me Drunken Chops

Daniel Classic Meatballs (with the biggest mozzarella stick I have ever seen)

The food was actually pretty darned good. The portions were huge though and I dont think any of us actually finished our meals. The check, including tip, was $75. This place was definitely a winner and we will be back here on another visit. On the way out, I spotted this sign for motorcycle parking.

We had skipped dessert earlier as I had promised the kids earlier we could go to the The Fountain for ice-cream sundaes. We parked the car and walked through The Swan and out the back towards The Dolphin.

I loved the fact that the dolphin fish outside the entrance was all lit up at night and changed colour.

The Fountain is just inside the hotel to the right. It was quiet as it was well after prime dinner time.

We explained we just wanted some ice-cream, were told we could sit wherever we liked and were given dessert menus. The kids and Gary decided to go for the make-your-own sundae option while I opted for the Peppermint milkshake.
Daniel Mint Choc ice-cream with hot fudge sauce, mini M&Ms and Oreo pieces (no whipped cream)

Gary Strawberry ice-cream with hot fudge sauce, malted milk chocolate balls, whipped cream and a cherry

Sian Strawberry ice-cream with hot fudge sauce and sprinkles, whipped cream and a cherry

Me Peppermint Shake; vanilla ice-cream blended with peppermint patty cookies and milk, topped with whipped cream, chocolate sauce and a peppermint patty cookie (no whipped cream and no chocolate sauce)

I completely forgot to use my DVC card here but DVC members get a 20% discount normally. The Fountain is definitely a great option for a late-night (or any other time, for that matter) treat. After paying the check, we took a slow walk back over to The Swan and went up to our room, where we watched some telly (Gary) and read for a while (me and Sian) before lights out.
