I ended up booking ou own package through a pin code my mom(who is traveling with us!) got, it ended up being about $200 less than discount he could get. Estimating the QSDP and PHTick discounts per what he told me. EITHER WAY--54 days and counting!

I'm not a CM but I have an "other guest bedroom" reservation (we have a close friend who's a CM) for the beginning of June and when I called yesterday to see if there was discounted dining to add to my room reservation, nothing was showing yet. The CM said that maybe May 1st there'd be something new.

Deeper CM room discounts are out now through 6-14 I believe. They did NOT add a discounted dining plan to this and you can only check for availability in the deeper discount if you are within 21 days of arrival.

If you want the DP during this time you will have to keep the original room discounts and get a full price dining plan.

My daughter will be starting a professional internship on June 11th. We are moving her down to Disney the weekend of May 31st. Would she be eligible to book a room prior to starting?

It'd be great to get 50% off a Disney room for the long weekend we are getting her settled into her new apartment!


I figure I'd ask here first...if she can arrange it, I can then have her contact her new supervisor.

No. She won't be eligible for anything until she receives her cast information and actually begins her work. Different CMs are eligible for different things. I'm not familiar with what an intern would be eligible for, but nothing starts at least until they're start date. Sometimes after.

So if the cm gets us the room discount, can we add on dining and park tickets ourselves for regular price? I'm afraid of my room not being in my disney account when I start to link the dining and park tickets to it bc the cm booked just the room for us using my credit card, he can put it onto my name tho right.

You need to get tickets separately. A full price dining plan can be added to the 40% friends and family discount. Adding it doesn't change your reservation number and wouldn't create problems on MDE. You can link the tickets you purchase separately yourself.

I really can't predict. Your friend is right, as dates get closer they may release better discounts. A few days ago they released the 50% through 6/14 - so it's in pretty small spurts.

I'd start calling the beginning of October to check on it. The discount they released for June, however, DID NOT have a discounted dining plan attached to it (which was surprising). It's only for a room. They're only allowing full price dining plans in conjunction with the original percentages.

In the past the discounted dining plans were for both DDP and QSDP.

I already have the 40% discount on our room reservation and I called today to add the full price DDP to my reservation. Closer to my check in date do you think there'd be a possibility the DDP would be discounted along with the 50% room discount? Or should I just stick with it the way I have it now.

Our DD starts the CP Aug 15. I have booked a 10 day package at the YC with DD and 8 day tickets. I also have another YC room booked with her 40%.

I am assuming this would be easier than fooling around with waiting for gate tickets for only some of our days and FP planning. We need to coordinate with another group.
HOWEVER,
If RO are offered at 40% and there MAY BE a CM dining discount, how will Disney go about changing our ressie?

Thoughts appreciated!
