Just a quick question, are you always able to get the ddp with family and friends or does it depend on time of year and such? 2. Are there blackout dates? & resorts you can't book with the discount?? Thanks

You can always add a full price DDP to the 40% discount.

The discounted DDP is restricted to the 50% room discount and that can vary on when it's available.

There aren't many resort restrictions with the 40% but usually add some (like the mermaid rooms) to the 50% discount.

Wow, those are some awesome discounts. My step-dad retired a few years ago but we never used the CM discount on the hotels.....wish we had now

Can CM's book a room only reservation at any time for friends and family? We aren't planning our trip until November. Is it too soon for them to book for us? Thanks!!

We currently have a 40% Friends and Family discount for Pop for the end of April. We tried to change the resort to Port Orleans Riverside/French Quarter. We were told there were no more 40% F&F discounts available for our dates at those resorts. Do they ever add more discounted rooms or are we out of luck?

We were told there were no more 40% F&F discounts available for our dates at those resorts. Do they ever add more discounted rooms or are we out of luck?

Not sure that they would add rooms, but people could cancel. POFQ is very popular though. But it doesn't hurt to keep trying.

Not that it's the same thing, but I went in December and the CM stayed in the room, so I was trying to add the discounted dining plan. They kept telling me nothing was available with the discount dining at my resort CSR (or any mods or values actually). I think about a week before my trip, it became available. So I'm guessing someone cancelled and I got lucky. It could happen.

If it's a package you'll need to cancel it, but I'd book your new room first to make sure you get what you want.

If it's just a room only reservation they could add the discount to that, pending availability.

Yeah. The CM will need to book you a room through Disney.

I was checking to see if any cm's know if there is any discount for may for friends and family and if there is a discount on dining daughter was accepted to cp program and our cm friend is currently in fl looking for may trip

My best friends son is doing a professional internship (not college program) through Cornell at WDW. (paid suit/tie position/has the CM card)

He will be returning to school in July but has offered me his discount for our trip in August. He says he will still be employed by WDW as a college program recruiter at Cornell.

I'm concerned that our reservation would be cancelled if his status changed and don't want to be troublesome.

He offered and its such a great deal...just wondering how this could play out?

That's really specific... If he still has an active cast member ID at the time of your trip then you should be fine. I'm not familiar with their particular benefits specifically though.

There are CMs that only have cast discounts and not Friends and Family discounts. I'd have him double check what the new position will qualify for specifically.

Yes. It won't automatically, but he will need to fax a copy of his cast ID <10 days before you arrive at which point they'll check his status. If he does not have F&F discounts available at the time of your trip (not the time of booking) then they will switch you to rack rate.

Well they said people cancel all the time and it does happen. I called this morning and was able to book a room at POFQ with the CM F&F discount that I have. I have been trying for a week and there has been nothing, called this morning and was able to snag a Garden View Room.
