Friendly's commercial...love it or hate it?

you know that Friendly's commercial that seems to be on every 5 minutes right now? about the couple who are heading out on a romantic date but wife decides at last minute doesn't want to leave daughter so they all go out to Friendly's. Does this commercial drive anyone else crazy? Not sure if its just dh and I maybe we are a little sensitive because with a 2 year old and 6 month old twins, we would love the opportunity to go out just the 2 of us, but it just isn't happening right now. hmmm...what do you think?

I haven't seen it, maybe they're not running it over here. But I'd just like to say that my very favorite ice cream treat is a Friendly's hot fudge sundae with mint chocolate chip and whipped cream.

That's too funny because my DH said to me just the other day he would kill me if we had a sitter all lined up and I changed the plans like that lol .

I'm pretty sure Friendly's isn't a national chain so some people might not know which commercial you're talking about.

Brusters & Cold Stone Creamery are big here; but I'm from NJ and know Friendly's well!! (kind of surprised they're still around - the way things are being bought up or bankrupted these days.) But about the commercial - that probably happens more than you'd think!

No Friendly's commercial can be THAT bad! We used to live in Friendly's "territory", but moved from there several years ago. Of all the things in Massachusetts, I miss Friendly's the most. What I wouldn't give for a giant Reese's Pieces Sundae right now. Or a watermelon sherbert cooler on a hot day.

Well, we do have Friendly's around here and I do know the commercial.

My DH comments that the DH's (the one in the commercial) plans for the night were just ruined, because he was probably in the mood for

I really think the Friendly's commercials are aweful. I hate them. They are so stupid and sappy, for lack of a better descritption. They have been using these types of commercial for a while now and I do not understand why.

That woman has to have one of the most irritating voices I've ever heard - baby talk isn't cute when you're 30-something!

I understand that plans can change and sometimes babysitters fall through or whatnot, but to get all dressed up, line up a babysitter and then go to Friendly's instead? That kid wasn't even crying or giving them a hard time! I've had to peel crying kids off my ankles on the rare occassion that we ever went out when they were little (I'm not a horrible parent, they got over it as soon as we were out the door!).

Cute idea, not so cute commercial.

I thought it was a cute commercial. I do agree that it is wicked overplayed. Honestly It's something I can see happening to my family (only I have DS not DD). I don't know why really but we seldom do stuff outside the house without him.
