Hello!

I have a friend that is going to be coming down while I’m on a 10 day solo trip and wants to stay the weekend with me. I have a free dining package reservation (only mentioning incase it makes a difference), we are not wanting to have that added for them just registered on the hotel side as a guest for early entry, ILL, VQ and things like that. If possible, what is the best way to go about it.

My thought was when they get there go to the front desk and have them added on to the room. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Never had this situation and I wasn’t seeing anything recent or even for staying overnight in a search, before anyone assumes we aren’t trying to be sneaky just not sure how to go about it the correct way since it’s the middle of my stay and they will already have tickets. It will just be us 2 so it wouldn’t be over room capacity.

Help us out! Is this even possible?!

TIA

Your thought of going to the front desk when they arrive and add them to the room is exactly what you need to do. Have fun!

Yes that is the method to use since you have a package but you don't have to wait for after they arrive. You can add them before they arrive you just can't add them before your arrival.

Yes it is the only way to do it.

And they won’t require them to buy tickets and the dining plan that I have? So worried they will get there and we’ll have a mess

Nope. That is only required if you wanted to add them prior to you checking in. We've done it multiple times ourselves. It happens often so no worries about the CM not knowing what you're wanting to do.

SAME ^ Often have had college kids or DH only join a few days while on package. Easy add once there.

Just make sure the front desk actually adds them to the room. The first time I asked for this, the front desk just added them as day guests.

I don't know if this is the normal process, but when the front desk did finally add the 2 people to my room, they cancelled the package and rebooked it as a room only. It was very disorienting when I was looking at my folio.
