Friend List

I was going through my buddy list on VMK and I noticed I have lots of dis players and others, but not ONE CL. I realize most of the CL's have their lists full, but do you think just one of you could make room for me? It's not important really, just want to have one on my list to talk to if I need something instead of going around every room in VMK clicking on everyone I run into...

You have to realize that CL's are people just like us, they are players who love the game as much as we do. I actually have 2 but thats not important

I do realize that lax, but CL's are more than ordinary players like us to me. I'm sure VMK has a very selective process to enable you to become a CL and I'm sure they also check back on their history (chat, trading, maybe even what clothes they wear) to see how helpful, friendly, and honest they are and if they follow the VMK values and use that to determine whether to select them or not.

I have not yet met a community leader that wasn't helpful, friendly, and honest and from this, I have always respected the CL title. So to all of you CL's out there, thanks

That being said, probably the main reason I would like one (maybe two) on my list is for trading purposes. I think it is much safer if you meet someone in the game who you're not comfortable trading with directly to trade through the CL. This reduces the chances of getting scammed and avoiding the agony and frustration that I have seen from people on quite a few posts when they were scammed.

I'm not by any means saying that only CL's are honest. There are many honest players on VMK, many of them here on the DIS. But knowing a CL can save a lot of frustration and possible scamming because a lot of players respect the CL title and they can be trusted to handle the trade honestly.

Beyond that, I don't want lots of CL's on my list. If we become friends, great, but if not, well at least I have someone to search for if I need something or get stuck.
