Are there fridges in the rooms at Portfino?

Doesn't list them on the website.

Only in hospitality suites and bigger.

No problem. They still have mini bars in the rooms with sensors on everything to let them know if something is taken.

I wonder if they will remove them in the future like HRH and RPR. To us it does not matter as we prefer our rolling cooler with ice cold drinks.

We're flying so packing a cooler isn't in the cards. We stayed club level our first 2 stays at UO so we didn't miss the fridge. But this time I think we'll stay in a standard room and order breakast supplies from Garden Grocer like we do at WDW. We'll just stay at HRH or RPR.

I would imagine they get fridges on the next refurb. Funny how the Universal Deluxe resorts exceed the competition in so many ways, but are/were behind with some trivial things that seem like a no brainer for a deluxe resort. Like last to have free Wifi and fridges.

I hear ya, but being an upscale resort they want you to spend money. I know that's not an excuse but at PBH I think for now there will be no fridges in room. I think with the 4 hotels and one next year they are trying to separate them with budget all the way to luxury.

It's possible to rent a fridge for a night though, isn't it? I thought I read somewhere they could be rented for $15 a night.

Just to let you know, Garden Grocer only delivers to RPR. This is a response I received from Garden Grocer today regarding delivery to UO Hotels.

"Re: Garden Grocer - contact form email

We do still deliver to Royal Pacific, we don't deliver to the Hard Rock or Cabana Bay.

Thanks for the info. We are staying at RPR, so we're ok.

I wonder why they don't deliver to Cabana Bay? With the kitchenettes there lots of people would want that service. I'm assuming it's the resort who doesn't allow it. That would actually prevent me from staying there.

maybe they don't have the facilities to store frozen and refridgerated foods when the guests' GG order arrives...

they can store refriderated needed medications.

Here is another quote from Garden Grocer when I asked them why they no longer deliver to HR and CB and how I could be sure that I would still get my order delivered to RPR.

"Re: Garden Grocer - contact form email

Our arrangements with the resorts we deliver to are subject to change if the resort in question changes their acceptance policies, or no longer wishes to provide our service to their guests. If management determines that the procedures need to change, they will contact us accordingly. At this time, Royal Pacific has not joined the other Loews resorts in their policy alterations, so if you place an order with us it will be honored even if they change their policies after the order has been submitted.
