Fridge in room at Hilton Gatwick ?

Hiya, does anyone know if there is a fridge in the rooms at Hilton Gatwick airport ? why I ask is because we were given a bottle of vintage champagne at christmas and I have been saving it for our evening stay, before flying to WDW in August. If not it will be warm and yuk !!!

We had a deluxe double room in 2009 and there was no fridge in the room.

I would suggest chilling it before you travel and keeping it in a coolbag. Can't remember if there was an ice machine at the hotel either, not sure there was but you could ask at reception and they might be able to bring an ice bucket full of ice to your room.

There isnt a fridge im afraid. They do have a minibar in the room that i think they can empty for you but im pretty sure there is a charge for this. They do have ice machines on all floors though.

We quite often take some Champagne with us for the night before and i buy a cheap cool bag from asda (think they are about £2) put the chilled bottle in there with a couple of ziplock bags full of ice. That usually keeps it pretty cold for our 2 hour trip to Gatwick and then when we get to the hotel we just pop loads more ice in the cool bag. Has always been perfectly chilled.

Also if you ring down to front desk they will bring you some champagne glasses up - certainly nicer than drinking it out of the small tumbler glasses in the room.
